Opeth? Really? Like opeth a lot but their shows are boring + it seems like an odd fit..

Would go just to see Gogol Bordello.

Actually, Kanye is unquestionably the best hip hop artist this year. The second best is probably B.o.B. And I love love love love OutKast, and I really liked Big Boi's album.

We'll have to agree to disagree about Em and Wayne. I'm actually not the biggest Wayne fan in the world, but his lyrical chops cannot be questioned.

Big Boi is the best at Bonnaroo.

haven't seen the schedule, however i assume they will play on the main stage primetime one of the nights. I'm going to guess..... Saturday night, but don't know. You are right, Em will probably play Sunday night.

Panic will play Sunday. it's kinda their spot, but a late night would be allsome.

Would go just to see Gogol Bordello.

saw them with Les Claypool during SuperJam. it was interesting to say the least.

Neil effin' Young, Volatile!

I'm immensely stoked. We're getting a caravan going. Looking to have 15-20 friends campin' out with us.

TENTH ANNIVERSARY BABY!

Wiz, Wayne, and Em are cancers in this lineup.

Em's first 2 cuts were good, but I doubt we'll hear more than 2 songs from either of those. Wiz and Wayne have, however, always sucked.

I went last year for my first time, enjoyed the majority of the weekend. Highlighted by seeing Kings of Leon, Tenacious D, Jay-Z, Ray Charles, Jamey Johnson, Zac Brown band.

This year I admit to be oblivious to most of the names listed. I guess my iTUnes will have alot of downloading to do....This year (as of now) excited to see:

Eminiem (only live once right?), Widespread, Mumsford&Sons, Old Crow Medicine Show [Tell it to me!]

I go to Bonaroo and SXSW every year.....little underwhelmed by the Bonaroo lineup, but still excited.

Belle and Sebastian?!? :cray:
The Submarines?!? :cray:
Nouvelle Vague?!?

Feels like I've missed out on some of my favorites this year.

What is it then? The event started in 2002 and it's 2011

This is the tenth year, arithmetically anyway

Yeah it's the tenth bonaroo but it's the 9th anniversary. 2002 was the inaugural event and the first anniversary was in 2003. When you're 9 years old it's your 10th year alive even though you're only 9. Not trying to be a dick. Really dont know why I even mentioned it. Just saw a few people saying that and figured i'd clear it up.

He may have the best hip-hop album of the year, but that doesn't make him "unquestionably the best hip hop artist" of 2011...and B.o.B.? What the hell?

It wouldn't bother me if they never had another hip-hop or rap artist at Bonnaroo. IMHO, the festival doesn't need them. Bonnaroo could have had Paul Simon and/or The Foo Fighters this year instead of Eminem, but chose Eminem in an effort to reach a different genre of fans. Bad move
