It was a writing project for a college student. He came up with the story. Unless some one just filled me full of bs with that, so I'd check it.

I think the cult following aspect is interesting; primarily the story of Lebowskifest and how it has grown. I believe there is a documentary on it and I know the Lebowskifest guys have put out a book.

If anyone has been to California and eaten at an In-N-Out Burger, you would appreciate the reference to it when Donnie mentioned one was near where they were going to little Larry Sellers house to get their money back. When I used to go out there to visit family, I would always ask if one was nearby wherever we were going. Still the best burger joint I've ever patronized.

And the following scene the camera shot of them eating the burgers through the knocked out windshield is priceless, as well as the look on Dude's face.

I did a drive from San Diego to San Francisco. I stopped at an In-n-Out and also went to Pismo Beach (a reference in Donny's eulogy). I think there was one other Lebowski tribute stop I made but I lost my train of thought...
