Does it really matter with the general population on this site whether or not the accusations are true? I mean any chance to throw someone under the bus, especially players/coaches is jumped upon around here.
TT was loved around here when he wore the orange, now he's looked at like a piece of trash because he left, to better himself and his family no doubt. He actually got off the sinking ship before it totslly went under.
GJ says he did not negative recruit against us. Until someone like Tiny or whomever comes forward and says otherwise, thats all we've got.
That coupled with a little bit of common sense. I mean does anyone really buy that TT would get GJ in contact with GW if there would be any conversation other than pro AU and neg UT?if you bothered to read the threads you would see much of it came from UT commit Richardson (who was also recruited by Auburn)

I want to hear some more about what a great leader that loser was and how he loves UT.
I'm just wondering where the "knowledge" he bad-mouthed UT came from? Is it simply Gabe chose Aubarn, and they are extrapolating?
I'm not sure where the GJ hate is coming from either. For smoking weed, which probably greater than 50% of the posters on here smoke? For having injuries playing football? For converting 40% of our 3rd downs in the season we needed him most? For being a leader his senior year?
This wasn't just about smoking a doob in the privacy of your room during off season, it cost us a prize recruit or two and further stained the program which was taking a lot of negative hits under Fulmer, i.e., the Fulmer Cup.

He was a fairly productive player his senior year but I would never consider him a team leader. His lack of preparation coming into 2009 directly contributed to at least two losses - UCLA and Auburn - and greatly affected Crompton's production. It was no coincidence that Crompton's production increased about the same time that GJ finally got his head and body into the game about the Georgia game.
His character is questionable...don't think he has a chance for the NFL. If he was a high character and toughness guy he probably brings enough intangibles to make a team.
Recap: hat has no problem calling Dooley a buffoon on a public message board, but has a huge problem with what Gerald Jones did.
All you need to know is that GJ admitted to taking a call that was promoted by another school. He admitted he didn't give GW his number. We wouldn't be discussing this if someone at UT gave GW his number. From there you can either believe GJ was just a friendly unbiased sounding board like he's saying or not. We do know his family wanted GW at UT and we do know because he said so that GJ said ignore family and do what you want. At face value that's fine but most people have serious doubts that any recruiter at any school would ever have a potential recruit call another teams player unless the outcome was expected or known. Add to that rumors and speculation that AR was given a pitch by GJ that was less than flattering and rumors that GW admitted having received the same. I don't need the rumors to know the whole thing stinks but I understand some of you may have head colds.
