Its a nerd movie. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one. If you're not a nerd its a toss-up whether you'd like it or not.

I would rephrase that or adjust it to say tech proficiant, considering today's facination with all things tech.

Do you need to see the 1st one to know what's going on. I loved the original and I am thinking about taking my nephew during his christmas break and he has never heard of tron.

It doesn't hurt. Its good to have the back story there, but I don't think he'd half to see it to enjoy the new one. It might be hard to get him to watch the first one since it looks really dated. I loved the first one, but by today's standard it looks worse than week old crap.

They sum up everything you need to know in the beginning of this one. This was a really entertaining movie, don't get all the critics bashing the plot. The movie serves it's purpose, aside from lagging a bit towards the end it, well done.

I liked it. Much better than the original, which I think in retrospect is boring.

My son is four and I don't want to introduce him to violent movie scenes. By violent, I don't mean Three Stooges I mean vivid death scenes. Is this movie sutiable for a 4 year old. He has a very short attention span. Would he enjoy it and sit through the whole movie? He did ok through Yogi Bear but got up twice to walk the halls.

Deaths in the movie result in people "derezzing" or disappearing in a flash of disintegrating pixels. All of the fight scenes are stylized and mostly deal with people throwing discs at eachother or using the discs for close quarter combat. Should be able to keep a kid's attention once they get into the grid which is about 20 minutes in. Go for it.

Since one of the script writers worked on Lost .......Take a gander at # 11. I was most assuredly going to see this again. Now I will have something to keep an eye open for, because this movie is a sensory overload to the nth degree. I missed it the first time around.

15 Easter eggs to watch out for in Tron Legacy

there's one that isn't mentioned here. When CLU first addresses the massive army he's created, he says, "Greetings, Programs!!" which was how Flynn addressed his friends in the original movie.
