...and Dooley accomplished a lot more with a lot less than what Saban had; on both lines, on the bench, minus all the open scholly's this year, and Freshman all over the field. The future looks real good! GBO!

I wondered how long it would take to see something like this.

Don't hold your breath for too long waiting for the same results. Entirely different situations.

Yes they both went 6-6 their 1st year, the comparisons end there i'm afraid.
Dooley is Dooley and Saban is Satan.

Rail the OP all you want. While Dooley is far less accomplished than Saban, he has also not been given the opportunities yet. In time we could see him grow to be as successful as st. nick, or maybe not. Truth is, Saban coached in recruiting hot beds at LSU and Bama and accomplished what many others have at these schools. Dooley does not have that luxury but won't make excuses. He's also a better fit with his personality. Dooley is like Phil with his interactions, only his sayings aren't stale, and he is extremely polished.

How many NCs does Dooley have? Thought so.....everyone loses to lesser talented teams now and again, that's why they play the games

Now I like Dooley. Just don't confuse him with Saban

This thread reminds me of all the Bams fueled by Finebaum talking about what a loser Chizik was and what a terrible hire he was pointing to his miserable record at ISU and lack of experience.

All you hear from the Mulletts now is *crickets* and an occasional belch.

He's not there yet, but why can't Dooley have as good if not a better career as Saban? Not saying it's going to happen, but don't act like Saban is the only person on Gods green earth who can coach winning teams.

I think Dooley is a good coach, and I'm glad he's our coach. I was a Dooley supporter from the get go. But trying to compare Saban at Bama to Dooley at UT is just plain dumb.....Saban walked into a way better situation. Dooley may end up having a great coaching career and I really hope he does...but comparing him to Saban at this point is laughable

Take Newton and Malzahn away from that team, and they're 7-5 or 6-6 at best. You'll see it next year if things go as predicted.

We should've lost to a third-rate UAB team but got lucky.

Saban nearly beat the would-be National Champions that year and crushed us, the SEC East Champions.

Regardless, this comparison and argument is stupid.

Now your talking about Chizik....I'm talking about Saban, who you were comparing to Dooley

Take away Cam and Chizik wins 8 games tops with that team
