I have been looking for this pullover and cannot find it anywhere. He wore it during the Memphis game.

I emailed Hound Dogs here in Knoxville with a picture attached. They said that this was an old pullover and they do not make it anymore!! It is an Adidas Pullover

For the life of me I cannot understand why an active football coach would wear something from a past collection. I am not buying Hound Dogs explanation.

No longer than CDD has been a Vol Fan, I can't imagine that he would even have any Vol apparel that was old. That doesn't make sense. Unless he went to a thrift store, and I highly doubt that.:p:birgits_giggle:

Did he where they white pullover against Memphis? I have one that is orange that is similar to the one he wears.

It may be he wears some items that are not available to the public. My son works in the AD and he comes home with addidas gear all the time. He has three of the half zip pullovers that the addidas rep gave him. He told me they are not available in stores. It could be they are older models as hounddogs mentioned.

Checked the Vol Mall. I like it because it is not flashy, but has the school colors and Adidas emblem. May have to go to the school bookstore.

If I were the school, I would make these guys wear stuff that the fans can buy. You never know they may make some money off the deal!

On a side note--glad he ditched that short sleeve, smock, pullover looking thing. Add some Blue Blockers and a bass fishing boat and he could have been my grandpa in that oogly thing.

Yeah it seems like especially the basketball team wears so much stuff that they don't sell. I don't get it. I would have everything they wear for sale because thats usually the best stuff. I love those dry fit shirts the bball teams wears alot before the put on their warmups, but can never find them.

Its mind boggling how bad they market UT gear. The Bookstore online should have a link that says "UT coaches gear: Click here"

I have one I bought a few years ago. I think they are probably right.

a lot of the stuff that the athletic dept wears is stuff that isn't for sale. I always wanted the tennessee s&c shirt with the power t with the weight through it. You can always email hamilton and ask that they request the gear the coaches wear be made available for sale.

Pretty sure they don't have a problem marketing or selling UT gear. If I'm not mistaken, part of the apparel deal with Adidas includes a certain amount of exclusive wares. Why would UT sign with Adidas if they were going to simply be outfitted off the shelves? Frustrating for the fan, but that's big business for you.

The coaches apparel from last year was very hard to find. I remember several threads on her for Christmas about people trying to find it but unable to do so. I think the apparel agreements is totally separate from the Adidas contract.

There are some items that consumers can find on the shelves. I myself have a coaches visor. That said, I promise you, not everything is available for sale. Last Christmas they simply ran out of the "Kiffin pullover". I remember. I tried to find one.
