Despite many other offers, he will stick with the Vols and plans on enrolling in January. He will take an official visit this weekend at the Bama game. Go Big Orange!

He has been confident about getting a good score for a while now with no results, I think. Am I wrong?

I think this time around he will make it in... glad to hear he wants to be a Vol. Coaches consider him a must have.

Why is he not listed for this class, and then some like ESPN have Dixon listed?

Also, if we add him and Couch, say next week, what will our class move up to?

No, probably in the top 20 though. Doubt you will see him added to our class till Jan since that is when he would enroll.

Depends on which poll you're going by. ESPN has some of our recruits graded higher than Rivals. I'd say we would be in the top twenty though. We'll finish in the top 15 on Rivals if everything goes according to plan; maybe in the top ten or just outside on ESPN. Dooley will close strong in recruits' living rooms.

Thanks, what threw me off was Dixon being listed on espn and he wont be here till January, right?

Anyway, I agree! DD will close strong! If Loften gets in along with Dixon, and we sign at least some of the big ones we want like Richardson, Wright, Couch, Clear, Johnson along with maybe a surprise or two it WILL be top ten!!

You're a hope killer. i think it's great a young feller continues to be confident even in the face of repeated setbacks. What does this tell you?

1. He WANTS to be a Vol.
2. He's NOT a QUITTER.

Which is a heck of a lot more than can be said for too many people these days.

That's what's kind of weird about the current situation with these two...

By all accounts we aren't going to pursue Dixon...only Loften...yet Dixon is listed on ESPN and Loften isn't...

Another thing is that "landing" Loften likely won't change our ranking on Rivals...

Loften didn't enroll in prep school so Rivals still considers him part of the 2010 class...therefore they likely won't count him in the 2011 class

If he'd pulled a Kelcy Quarles (2010 USCe commit) and gone to Hragrave or Fork Union he would be counted towards the rankings for this class (like Quarles is for USCe)

I do want him to get in and play for us, I just don't want everyone to get their hopes up for him to get in because I THINK we have been hearing this same story for a while.

We have heard this story over and over from multiple pre-qualifying players.

However, He seems determined to get in. So I will give him the benefit of the doubt until he proves me wrong.

No we haven't. As far as I know, this is the first time he's taken the test since last school year.

I thought he took it one more time before August and tried to get in.

That was my recollection as well. If memory serves, he had a qualifying score, but it was a big enough jump over a prior score that they considered it suspicious.

They made him retake, and he got really close to posting another qualifying score, but it was below the qualifying threshold. So now, here we are.

If someone has better memory or a link to something better than that, please confirm or refute.
