I'm not sure why you found that so funny. I don't think it will be the worst loss ever if UT does lose but it's not like it isn't possible.

Losing to Florida 31-0 was the worst loss I've witnessed. I believe it was zooks 1st year. Tennessee fumbled everytime they had the ball.

We want lose! What is the worst lost in Neyland history?

UF beat us 31-0 at Neyland in '94. The worst loss I could find in Knoxville was a 56-0 loss to UK in 1893, but that was well before Neyland opened. I don't know if the '94 loss to UF is the worst, but it's got to be one of the worst.

The game you're thinking of was the '02 game when it was pouring rain. Clausen fumbled on the goal line on 2 or 3 straight plays. That wasn't the 31-0 loss though. I think the final of that game was 30-13 or something in that neighborhood.

What is the worst loss in Neyland history, anyone know off the top of their head?

I don't know, but I was at the Washington State game in 88, and it has to be close. Through the fog, I remmeber the final being soemthing like 56-14.

Wash. St. beat us really bad in the mid 80's at Neyland (by more than 30). Seems like Ga. also during the early 80's tromped us like that. We lost to Chattanooga once and it was a nasty day for fan madness. Vols' fans went nuts. I think So. Cal beat us 56-0.

no it was to Spurrier and we had no QB's what so ever and all UT fans were expecting that. we had no chance what so ever that day.

Tennessee - 50+ Points Allowed In A Game
This link shows a list of times TN has allowed 50+ points in a game. Bammer beat us 56-28 in Neyland back in 1986. Washington St. beat us 52-24 in Neyland in 1988.

This list gives us perspective. At least this isn't 1893, when TN lost to Duke (70-0), Wake Forest (64-0) and North Carolina (60-0) in a 5-day span. That same year they lost to Kenturkey 56-0.
