My earliest memory has always been when I was 5 years old. I know some remember back to crawling or before.

That's highly improbable. Memories don't start forming till age 5 UNLESS it's a traumatic event. Most "memories" people think they know from young ages (under 4-5) are actually stories they've been told and become "memories."
Same theory as a child hearing a story and believing it's something that happened to them (i.e. children are unreliable witnesses in court cases).
That's what I learned in child development courses. Sorry...I'm a dork. :geek:

You're right in almost all cases, but there are exceptions. The only reason I remember 5 was because it was traumatic. My next memory some few months later, same thing. Now, I can't remember yesterday sometimes.

Yes. I my first memory was Pre-k so 3-4 years BUT it was my first trip to the emergency room. That same year I fell down a flight of stairs and cracked my head open, I remember that one too.

'Splains a lot right there. I split mine with an axe when I was about 5-1/2.

Man alive how did you do that?

GET OUT! Me toooo!!! Twinsies!!!!!
Dad had a double edged axe stuck in a stump. So, I wanted to be like Dad. Got it loose, raised it up over my head and straight down it came. Really no damage. Just broken skin and blood.
