Proud man that he is, I'm sure proudsouthernvol would take offense to that comment.

And, if he hadn't been silenced by the Wehrmacht-like forces moderating this board, I'm sure he'd be defending himself right now.

UT's in big trouble at the RB position---poole's good, but not in the league with Brown. Brown's dad was probably behind this from the beginning. Hopefully, bryce doesn't end up at USC with the low rent kiffin.

I think in time Neal will the best back on the team.

It's obvious BB don't want it or ever did. All you have to do is look at his film against UCLA. TP would have obviously made more of the opportunity than he did. He was given an opportunity to do something and he didn't. We would have been better off if Hardesty would have been given the chance. BB is over rated just like LK and some of his defenders like SGM and HAT no matter how many post you make. I've followed the VOLS for a long time and I believe my own eyes. Just watch, this is going to be a mean bunch this year. GO VOLS

I think Brown will be.........................fine with whatever happens. Although he should man up and make a decision ON HIS OWN! At that age it is hard to tell your old man no.....then tell all the friends on your team no as well....he should've stood up to his old man and owned his decision a long time ago....at this point I'm whatev's on the subject at this point......but then again what would Tennessee Football be without summer time drama?

I think I'd rather have a dog

in my face than discuss Brown's future as a VOL anymore.

Perhaps the stories about BB not being able to beat out Poole is why BB is gone.

I feel no loss for a quitter. That's precisely the kind of attitude Dooley needs to get rid off. I don't know what terms CDD put on the table, but I'd rather see Brown quit now than later.

The operative word here is "perhaps." Fact is you don't know why BB left. I too have theories such as his feeling slighted by an effort to finally make his own decision rather than his "agent" or father's or brother's by DD's lack of effort to be available. But I refuse to out either BB or DD down because in the end like you I don't know a darn thing.

The bottomline here is that many BB haters like yourself are are ticked because he didn't do what you wanted him to. People tend to be that way. As long as you do what they want, you're wonderful. When you don't you're Satan himself.

The kid is gone for whatever reason and no I'm not happy about it. But decent human will hope things work out for him. One thing for sure, he never posted or publicly said an evil word against you, me, Vols fans, DD, or the UT. Can you claim to have shown the same class he has in that respect? It's like our society is all about loving someone to hate.

Oh yeah Mr. High Horse WoodsmanVol, what about Lane Kiffin and his pet gorilla Ogre? BB hasn't in any way conducted himself the way these two things did. And as far as the Kif-Og creatures, karma isn't finished with them yet. Not by a long shot. His biggest mistake is returning to the Al Davis region. Meaning? It was a bad idea given Davis' insanity, a real bad idea.

You don't read much here, do you? I've done nothing but support Brown since he was being recruited. So, I don't think that makes me a 'hater.'

Moreover, I do know something. He skipped a meeting with his head football coach and, instead, sent a text to tell him he was leaving Tennessee.

That's enough for me to post what I posted.

I'm all for players who put everything they've got into being the best Vols they can be. These actions are inconsistent with that standard.

Dooley wins this one. And, it isn't even close.

1. DD was elsewhere when BB came for the meeting. But so what, the HC isn't expected to be at players' beck and call at all times, and DD knows what he's doing even if you and I don't.

2. DD didn't win, none of us did including BB. When a young man is in a situation that directly affects his future whether career-wise of biologically and we don't or can't help him, we all lose. Hopefully, you can understand that.

3. This isn't geared for a oneupmanship thing which does nothing but waste everybody's time. The kid is gone, no need for putting him down anymore than he has been already. So why don't we start over with this-in a manner of speaking. Let's try this:

I honestly believe that Tauren feels basically unappreciated by both CF and the Kiffin-creature. Consequently, he will hit the field with a 'tude of something to prove but not just prove, cram his being ignored down some throats. In games whether we win or lose I believe we're going to see his coaches and other teams talk that number (?) and how good he was. Whatever happens this season (personally, I still think we're going to shock the H^%$ out of people) we're in for a heck of a ride. It's not going to be boring at all and we're going to see more than just Tauren exhibit what's to come in 2011. This team is very underestimated and I can't wait for them to feed its doubters dump truck loads of crow mixed with ravens and vulture toe jam.

What say you, utmba93?

All this. ^

I'm not trying to speak for everyone here, but we're not mad because "he didn't do what we wanted him to do." I'm upset with him (BB) for not doing what he said he would do, what he committed to do. Being a man means taking responsibility for your decisions regardless of the circumstances. So I'm disappointed that he basically took the kiffin way out, tucked his tail and ran.

Glad to have Poole. I hope he stays injury free and shuts up all the doubters! Go Vols!!

What did BB say that you know for sure as opposed to what someone told you he said?
