Some Illegals leaving Arizona

Ideally, legal residents wouldn't feel threatened, but I find illegals leaving a little encouraging. I just hope it holds up in court and that those in charge of enforcing the law do it responsibly.

Who'd have though that being an illegal immigrant would become a state crime?

Yeah it sucks for the people that need to be here to support their families and themselves (as this article slants towards) but obviously, Americans in Arizona feel like this is a problem that they had to stop on their own. And that's who we should be protecting.

It's really bad down in Az from i've heard. They are trying to paint the illegals as being innocent people just trying to support their families at home. However a good chunk of them are in the drug cartels and gangs and crimes like kidnapping are getting way out of hand down there.

Every other state is watching how this goes with Arizona and if it work then you will see other state doing the same thing.

I heard one claim by some leftwingnut who said Arizona was trampling on the rights of illegal immigrants.

What rights do they have other than to be escorted across the border and released in a humane manner??

What if a state wanted to detain illegal immigrants for five years and then turn them over to ICE??

The man who wrote the Arizona law also wrote the Missouri law and it is almost if not exactly the same and has been in effect for five years, why didn't obambi/holder/aclu not sue Missouri???

some? Its a freaking mass exodus. We now all know why all these other states are against the law, because they are now pouring into their states and becoming their problems now

I can see the sympathy angle just a bit but how in the world is it fair that they work here and pay no taxes and basically get free health care and cost US Citizens millions in taxpayer dollars each year. If I tried to go to Mexico illegally they'd have me arrested ASAP.

To be fair, most don't make enough to pay federal income tax anyway and they do pay sales tax on whatever they buy. I'm not sure how many illegal immigrants working non-drug related jobs would make a taxable income.

If even one of them skate buy on taxes then it's too many. How about all the ones that are locked up and cost taxpeyers millions each year as well?

A lot of citizens (and some of them working for the current and previous administrations) skate on taxes. Heck, someone you know has probably skated on taxes.

Plenty of citizens that have never given anything back to society.

Just sayin'. I don't like illegal immigration, but telling everyone to "go home" just isn't practical, and maybe even not an act of justice, in some cases.

They would still pay their half of FICA and Medicare, as would their employers paying them.

Round up the flag waving patriotic Americans who hire the illegals. Fine and imprisonment is a great deterrent. End the demand and the supply follows....
