Did he never take out the trash, let the dishes pile up, and plug up the toilet? Or was it more of just a general "always in your face" thing?

muslims don't equal terrorists, but your friend GS wants to target them all. bad people equal terrorists. there is a difference between the two.

And you continually disregard the underlying point altogether.

Any religious belief, whether it be Islam or Christianity, doesn't have to point out specific beliefs. The nature of the texts make it possible to justify anything. If a Christian wanted to go kill all non-believers he would find all the justification he needed in the OT, while disregarding the tempered parts of the NT....just like I'm sure you find all the justification you need to be a moral person from the NT while disregarding the bloodlust found in the OT. Just because a teaching is evident in the Qu'ran doesn't mean every Muslim believes that.

I'm not going to sit here and defend Islam theology, it is very scary and poses danger to western civilization. I don't forget the 911 hijackers were men of faith...perfect faith, as it turns out...but extrapolating that out to every Muslim is beyond a stretch. Just because a teaching is found in a religious text doesn't mean it holds equal weight with other teachings to everybody that believes it.

All religion is a farce IMO, it just so happens Islam is the most dangerous today. That certainly doesn't mean every Muslim subsribes to the same nonsense.

I do, on the other hand have a muslim president.

I have learned that, with regard to issues like this one, and when dealing with the likes of CountVocula or joevol or gsvol, that there is no point in trying to reason with the devoutly irrational.

Make one post about how their logic is backassward and move on. You can't convince them that the world is round (well, oval shape).

i'm gonna target Count and hold him in prison without due cause. Why? Because school shootings and mass murders (domestic terrorists) have been committed by mostly white people... don't worry, man, it's all good. It's just to end all terrorism as we know it at the expense of people who have done nothing wrong. You'll be out eventually, or maybe not.

I believe we must profile while trying to minimize the negative effects to citizens and those Muslims who are peaceful and respectful of our values and ideals. If it were white supremacists who were blowing up buildings, cars and people on a scale like we have seen the terrorists doing I would understand the need for those measures. I may not like the idea but understand the reasoning behind to be sound. JMO.
