MLB 10: The Show

finally got back on this over the weekend, i had gotten a little frustrated when my guy got sent back down the AAA and had put it down for a couple of week. after what turned out to be about a 2 week stay in the minors i got called back up after hitting .450ish over that time span. first game back went 3 for 3 with a HBP and a game winning HR. i'm too far out on ABs now to qualify for the batting title but am still the leading ROY, i'm hooked again.

Played it yesterday for the first time in a while. just finished my rookie season. won the batting title, rookie of the year, gold glove for CF, playoff MVP and World Series MVP. Rockies are the 2012 champs. 20 years old.

man i love this game, picked it up again tonight after a few days away and lit it up first game.

edit:then follow that game up with an 0-5 with a K, i hate this game

'09 Show had me with 32,000+ career hits in only 4 years on my player card. I think I was a first year Hall of Famer with those numbers.

Im in 2016 offseason and I am still stuck in Tampa. The Rays drafted me and I have been trying to get traded with no luck for the last 3 seasons. Thankfully after this year I will have six seasons in and I will be a free agent.

I have one batting title under my belt, but have not made and All Star team yet...how stupid is that. I am a career .322 hitter in the big leagues.

I made the all star game my rookie year last night and only got one at bat in the 7th. To beat it all I was robbed of a HR :(

I was able to stay above .400 for about 3 weeks before the all star game, and I think that was what got me there. I'm just glad to be playing this again!

My pitcher is in his first year with the Reds in 2012. I am 7-6 with a 2.95 ERA and 130k's in 142 innings. The problem is my team averages about 2 runs per game. Hoping to sign somewhere else at the end of the season...

Hopefully they don't offer you arbitration, that's whats kept me in Tampa for an eternity.

good luck with that, it seems like it's almost impossible to get traded from a sucky team. try sucking at the game a little more and see if that works

and i didn't mean that the way it sounds, i really meant like fail goals as much as you can so maybe they won't want you

What I love about this game is I may go through a slow period of the game, but as soon as I hit another HR... I'm sucked back in for another 15 to 20 games of playing :)

Really wish there was an install option. The load times are still awful in this series and have been for awhile. One of the only negatives I can think of.

Finally got to play some recently. Decided to try center field since I've done pitchers the last 2 years I've bought the game. Base running seems difficult. Having a hard time with that. Batting has been tough but I think I just need a little more time. One thing I don't like about position players are that you basically know when it's coming your way. 3/4 or more of the time you just push over a bit, wait for the ball, and then watch some more loading. Then again, I don't want to play every pitch of the game, either.

Looking forward to playing more soon.

Couldn't agree more. When you first make your guy, batter or pitcher, and you don't start and get 1 ab or 1ip a game it's almost unbearable all the loading...

i love and hate this game so much. my pitcher got stuck on the brewers. our offense sucks so bad. i am 10-5 going into the allstar game will a era of 1.35, 10 complete games, 9 (shoutouts), whip under 0.4 If i give a run i lose. it's that simple. the game does something if you are a pitcher though, the team is averaging like 6 runs a game when i don't pitch. all 5 of my loses are when i gave up a solo homer. and with that short ass line in left in Milwaukee it hard not for a pop up to drift out there.

the cy young award is bull**** too. most wins. that is all it is based on in this game. and not to sound like a moron, but how did you get to that screen a few pages back with the info about awards and stuff. i can only see the top 3 ppl considered for an award and then if i win i get am email from my manager.

on the plus side, nothing feels better then dominating a team as a pitcher in this game. some teams i own so bad, some not so much. i can't buy a good outing against Col. Every year i manage to get the brewers to the playoff and they eliminate us. and they own me. It must be a hidden setting because i hit a guy on the thumb and he managed to send it out for homer. i have 2 more years until i am free from "dairy land". going to the team with the highest scoring offense. and will pitch on the cheap for them.

The hitting on this game is wayyyy hard anyone have any good tips?

patience and timing is the key. you just have to face facts that you're going to hit slumps every now and then so just try to keep those to a minimum. as far as attribute points go, i think vision is the most important one. the higher it is, the less perfect you have to be

You girls still have your xboxs? Trying to gather up a posse for RDR so you cant put down your dress up baseball game:)
