Interviews are happening right now. It's been a little over 24 hours, and we have good news on a couple of prospects if you will scan the threads. :hi:

I have looked at alot of them and they arent being updated as much as I thought they would. I was just expecting for us to have gotten 2 or 3 commitments by this time with as much people we are leading for.

Yeah well we just gotta be more patient. I bet most prospects won't pull the trigger for UT until they are absolutely sure this is where they want to go. Those players know they are going to a program that is rebuilding and they may not win as much as they might be used to.

Yeah thats what im afraid of too. I think that yesterdays performance on offense might have made some of the recruits think a little bit more about where they are going to go. Even tho the defense looked solid the offense was very shakey.

No I do need to change that tho im just saying our offense didnt look like we had a clue what we were doing also. I dont like Dooley taking knees in a spring game with 2 minutes left thats enough time to run 7 or 8 more plays. I want him to do good but some of the ways he ran that scrimmage yesterday: guest coaches, not going for it on 4th down, and taking knees with 2 minutes left. Made me think that he is scared to take risks and he isnt coaching like an SEC coach would in a spring game.I was starting to like some of the things he was doing, but the way that scrimmage was just kinda made me dread this upcoming season. Im not saying that I could do better but he really isnt doing the things that we need to do with 50 recruits watching the game. I hope he does good but the way he done things yesterday it just doesnt seem like he will.

I don't think that by not going for it on 4th, or by taking a knee in a scrimmage that means nothing relates that he is timid. He obviously has an emphasis in special teams. Even the victory formation. If you watched that one kneel the players couldn't even line up correctly to run it.

He knows that the spring game is mainly for the fans anyways. Didn't show much of the offense and didn't show any of the defense.

What good does it do to punt it in our scrimmage if we couldnt return it. And the first time we kick a 20 yard field goal in the regular season im walking out of the stadium there is no reason for that at all.

3 points > 0 points

but with our defense if another team is on the 1 or 2 yard line that most likely means 2 points for us and the ball back.

imho-2pts and the ball back > 3pts

But why kick a field goal when your 3 yards from the goal line and with our kicker you never know

No im talking about Lincoln. Now with Palardy we wont have much to worry about I dont think.

No I said with our kicker you never know Palardy isnt ours yet. My point is is why kick a field goal with the ball on the 3 yard line that is something Fulmer would do. Sack up and go for the TD if you dont have enough confidence in your offense to do it then you shouldnt be the coach of the team that you are coaching. If you dont get it then let your defense take over which is the strongest part of our team anyway blitz the QB and get 2 points and the ball back.

Dude,

How many safetys are there in a college football season? How many games are decided by 3 points or less? How many 2O yard field goals have Tennessee kickers missed in the last 20 years?

Well we missed about 2 or 3 extra points last year I think. And we had 1 game this past year decided my less than three points. Bama

Cody, none of what you just said makes and sense at all. Last time i checked Palardy signed his LOI and will be here in the summer. He will most likely win all three kicking jobs. Making a 20 yard FG will be no problem for him. We have a inexperienced OL and a RB who is yet to start a collage game. If you have a 4th and goal on the 3, you kick the field goal. And our offensive woes are in no way Dooleys fault

Not alot of teams start for the 2 or three yard line on much drives either
