Wow, i feel bad for thinking Stephens was as good as Crompton. Basically, 3 different staffs have stated Nick can't get the job done.

If that is the case, Fulmer and Clawson really did put the best QB they had on the field

Thinking they need to let the other guy have a shot at QB. I forget his name, something like Nicholas McStephenson. Some on here really were impressed by him last spring....I say give him a shot, can't hurt.

I hear CJ Boleman is impressing.

In all seriousness I'm honestly surprised Stephens hasn't separated himself from the others. I figured after sitting all of last year he'd be really motivated to step up and take the job in his last year. I'm sure he's motivated, so the only option that leaves me with is to assume he's not good enough for the job. I am glad to hear though that Simms and Bray are performing and creating some competition

wow, this is really the first spring ball that ive been on here, but what youre saying seems a little premature. How many practices have they been through so far? Can't be more than 10, and since the head coach is giving some young studs first team reps, stephens already is on the bench for the season? also, didnt one of the previous staffs you mention play him for half the games in 2008? they apparently thought he could get the job done or he wouldnt have been in there. to me, getting the job done means producing results during games, and its a little early to tell if hes gonna be the man for that. im not a stephens fan by any means, but lets not dismiss him yet.

Or it could be that NS has taken the bulk of the snaps and it is just time to see what the other guys can do? Maybe?

Dude, we're not even through spring ball yet. Wait until Stephens has officially lost the job before posting something like this.

Stephens, Bray, Simms, Nance, shoot even LaMaison...I don't care. The best quarterback will play, and there's nothing that my opinion or preference can do about that. Our goal is to win. And whoever helps us do that is going to be under center. And I'm okay with that. I wish everyone else would let the ones who can actually make the decisions worry about it. I will cheer for Bray if he's the man, I will cheer for Stephens if he's the man. I will cheer for Simms if he's the man. I will cheer for LaMaison if he's the man, and I will cheer for Nance if he's the man. Makes no difference to me. I will back who the coaches back. That's all I have to say.

I have read many posts about Stephens being a prick. Now I'm reading posts about the team is gravitating towards Simms. Maybe the staff sees this too .

I don't think the kid has the right stuff to lead a team. If they players around him don't respect his leadership ability, then it's time to move away from him.

The QB has to be able take control....seems to me like NS can't.

CDD and staff are giving all the QB's some time with the 1's to do a fair and accurate evaluation of all the QB's and if Nance comes in and learns the playbook well enough he'll probably get some time with the 1's too.

It's way too early in the evaluation process right now at most all positions to even try and guess who the starters will be come game 1 and even then come game 2 we may see different starters at some positions.

I won't be surprised at all if we see alot of fidderent players getting playtime on different weeks depending on what the plan is against our opponent that week and which players can best execute that weeks plans.

GO BIG ORANGE !!!

actually fulmer thought he was the answer in '08.... how did that work out phil?
Did you see that team? That's like getting mad at the # 7 because it's not the answer to the question: What color is the square root of an ambulance siren?

There was no answer to that debacle...
