Then, all of this babble about "UT gave me a chance" and "I want to finish the job I started" will be seen for what it is, just noise.

Which proves nothing. If he loves it here so much, why did his pals the Pumps spend so much time last spring begging Arizona for an interview on his behalf? Which means BC can hire a coach from the Horizon League or equivalent. It doesn't mean they are going to be able to hire someone from a major conference.

Kiffin never ran around acting as if he was some sort of martyr for turning down jobs he was never offered. Kiffin was offered a better job, then took it. Period. Pearl did everything in his power to get the Indiana and Arizona jobs, couldn't even get an interview either place, then acted as if it was his loyalty to good ole UT that kept him in Knoxville. I don't think the difference is hard to discern.

It depends on what you are saying you're wrong about. I've most certainly stated Pearl did a much better job of adapting to his personnel than I thought he was capable of doing. However, that doesn't change the fact he's a disingenuous snake.
