Actually, I think that's a glitch in the game. If you go to league leaders and look up your guy (browse by ppg) he will probably be DNQ. One of the most annoying flaws of the game. I was averaging 23 ppg my rookie year and I wasn't invited to the rookie - sophomore game or in the running for ROTY. And the announcers said the same about me. But now in my second year, I am 2nd behind Dwayne Wade for the All star votes. I don't know why it does that, but it's pretty frustrating. My advice would be to keep playing. The feature, despite the flaws, is still pretty awesome and realistic.

It's a lot different than your average basketball game. I like it because it makes you think and strategize instead of just holding turbo and pressing shoot and you dunk on the whole defense. It does take some getting use to. EA should take a couple pointers when it comes to basketball games from 2k

yeah, i've really come to like this one. i tend to rush things a bit sometimes when i'm frustrated and i think that's my main problem. i finally ended up breaking my losing streak tonight against the jazz.....i just sat back and let things develop on offense all game and things went alot better.

I made the rookie-sophomore game my first year though. Into my second year. Pretty confusing - so when does the bug go away?

I havent seen this bug i made both all star games first and second year. The thing is if your low rated you want get the consideration. CBC and I had very similar stats but i got more cred because i started off putting points on awareness. I am in the NBA Finals in year 2 vs the Cavs i am a 97 overall now i finished 2 in the MVP voting but i didnt make first second or thrid All-NBA team so i dont know.

The thing is with the bug, it didn't affect my first player, but it affected my second player. I think because I came from the D league the second time. Your ratings will affect the way announcers talk about you, and may even keep you away from the All star game. It is confusing and hopefully they get everything fixed for 2k11. It's still a lot of fun though

the more i play this the more i feel like i'm playing ncaa football 10 reincarnated. i was up against the kings earlier and had dominated pretty much the whole game and had a pretty nice lead going into the 4th when all of the sudden i couldn't get a shot to fall to save my life despite my players being wide open. naturally they came back...tied it up...took me into OT...and won.

of course, i could be wrong and just still just suck at this game. i still find it pretty difficult compared to other basketball titles, though. i still have it on pro and am struggling to get by. i guess i need to start running actual plays on the floor more often.

lol, it sucks but it happens. I was up by 18 at halftime, this morning against the Grizzlies, and they came back in the 3rd, ended up being up by 1 with 6 seconds left, Rashard Lewis wide open takes the game winning shot and misses. Offensive momentum is important. I usually try to make a play on defense for a fastbreak in that situation, it's the best way to get the momentum back.

So my game freezes at the same point in the rookie-sophomore game everytime. Anybody else having or have had that problem?

I ended up having to watch the computer players play instead of simulating until i was subbed in. I got through the game and haven't had a problem since.

I was finally called up last night to play for the Pacers after playing with the Idaho Stampede for several weeks.. Right now I'm at a 41 ranking and barely playing any but I'm getting some minutes and contributing when I do go in..

I've learned the easy way to boost your Team grade is to ASSIST,ASSIST, ASSIST and constantly set screens when you don't have the ball..My shooting right now is dismal and I miss most everything so I've been doing these and it's working out..

But everyone is right, It takes fooorever to increase your numbers

My Inside scoring is 97, layup is 99, quickness is 89 with a Tony Parker layup package, and athletic dunk package. Shoot in Traffic is about 90 and I'm pretty much unstoppable driving to the basket. Yesterday I scored 41 in a losing effort against the Cavs. But, those are some SP to shoot for if you wanna be a better scorer

I've completed 92 games so far with my guy. Signed to Orlando after playing half a season with Houston and the first half in the D League

I'm on game 15 with the pacers.. My minutes have actually skyrocketed lately, I'm avg. 22 Minutes a game and avg. 18 pts.. I'm up to a 42 overal rating with my Layup and short shot both at 78..

My shots still are extremely inconsistent but I'm working on assists and setting screens...

We were playing the bulls and a hit a fastbreak 3 to win the game

Yeh that's the good thing, as te season goes, they will eventually give you some good playing time. Pacers are a good team to be on as a rookie

Yeah, we won our first game and now are on a 11 game losing streak, I do everything I can but the CPU controlled teammates are constantly making bad shots and turning the ball over.. Kinda frustrating.. I've never seen so many lay-ups missed in a game..

Just played my best game. 45 points, 12 assists, 4 reb. Overall rating is 87 now. Halfway through my 2nd season

Nice.. I had my best game against the Nets, 22 Mins. 26 Pts 9 Ast, 4 Reb and one Stl..

We are going on a nice little winning streak, we are 8-1 in our last 9 and hold a record of 21-20 now.. Hopefully we can continue..

I'm overall 43 now with my Layup at 82 and all of my shots skills in the lower 70's
