I've heard it referred to in a couple different posts.I hate to start a new thread about it but when i asked in the other threads it never got answered.Thank you in advance.

Former Head Coach referred to us in an interview as having something to do with the yellow jerseys. It was obviously a slam by him. I am not sure if there was another incident or not but that is one I know about.

It was a misquote. What he said was something along the lines of "Kids don't come to play for the color of the jersey, they come to play for the coaches."

Its an example of TN fans making a mountain out of a mohill.He didn't even say the word yellow is what's funny ab this particular instance. He said a kid doesn't go to a certain school bc of that schools color jersey.

Speaking of jersey colors, is there a reason why the football jerseys are not the same orange as the basketball uniforms?

I have no idea what he said....but if he did say yellow then he had to be talking about the streak running down his back.:rock:

Yes, there is a detailed thread on that issue in which numerous industry experts explain that the dye reacts different to various surfaces(materials) and they get it as close as is reasonably possible.

Kiffin is used to seeing yellow because the yellow down his back is so wide and soi deep that it runs all the way through him.

Staying in the SEC totally terrified him and if you're going to coach football in the SEC then you have to actually have something in your jock strap other than BBs.

Kiffin did an interview on espn and it came on tv. If i am not mistaken Holly Rowe or somebody asked him if he was trying to steal our recruits, He said that some of the kids were not going to UT to put on those yellow jerseyss and some were coming for the coaches basically. It is no big deal but i did hear him say it.

Or why the t on the helment is different color than the jersey it drives my girlfriend crazy haha
