Should CBP hire Buzz Peterson as his talent evaluator/recruiter?

The point is that now that the team is 100% CBP players, we've regressed. I can't wrap my head around it. How do you recruit guys over and over that are busts or don't fit your system?

I hope you aren't inferring that Buzz had more talent than Bruce does... talent isn't the problem. The problem is consistency, shot selection, and hitting free throws.

We have no offense. We don't run many set plays, we just kind of walk/run around and see what's open (then shoot the 3).

Buzz lucked out in the players he got...

Loften wasn't even recruited by his own state, JuJuan was a walk on and everyone else was just jacked up on the "I have to prove myself" hormone. Without Bruce's coaching and philosophies, there is no way we are talking about this now....

but we still win more than we lose and have won the East three out of the last 5 years. 18-5 is not a bad place to be considering we beat the #1 team in the nation. Our players are good, but they have had a difficult year with all the changes in the line-up. Give them a break, we will be fine by the NCAA tourney.

So why doesn't Pearl recruit more players that have the "I have to prove myself" attitude? That's obviously what works for him. Instead, half the team are transfers or JUCO guys. And look at how many guys have been kicked off, quit, or just altogether gone for one reason or another. Now look at our team. They're more concerned with mugging for the camera and humiliating the other team. It's embarrassing.

Yeah, we were #1 too. And we beat two #1 teams! Who cares if we haven't won a SEC title or made it past the Sweet 16? We are better than we were before CBP.

FAIL.

Unless bringing back Buzz means we get to rush the court after every home win again. Or was that Jerry Green?

FAIL.

My entire point is that when Pearl had Buzz's players, it was a better brand of basketball. Now that it's all Pearl's players, it's incredibly hard to watch, and their behavior is embarrassing.

Do you really think I seriously believe Buzz Peterson would be hired by CBP as a talent evaluator/recruiter? I was merely trying to make my point without having to type a long explanation.

No kidding however, we could bring back Jerry Green as the discipline coordinator.

His coaching has been iffy from day one...his lack of control paid dividends when Lofton and Smith were hitting those 30 foot shots...our team still has the same mentality, only they couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat, yet Pearl just lets them shoot themselves out of a game.
