'10 FL OT Chaz Green

I am hoping that the new coaching staff will not hurt with our OL recruits. I have a feeling coach Kiffin sold playing time to these kids and the facilities did the rest. I don't know if Cregg was as big of a pull as say Monte Kiffin for the Defensive side of the ball. He will still be blocking for BB and Oku with early playing time. JMO

Need to get this guy. Its our position of greatest need and he's a Vol legacy... and we're going head to head with the gators.

Being a legacy, if Dooley impresses his parents then I'd say he ends up a Vol. If not, he'll be a Gator. I don't think there is anyway he ends up at USC now that the USC staff contains the crew that abandoned UT.

I saw in an article at espn that they predict Green going to Fla. I sure hope not, they have a hellufa class already. We need Lineman!!!!!!!

chaz green: Green was impressive during the under armour all-american game. That week he was talking up tennessee, where both his parents went to school. He appeared knoxville-bound before head coach lane kiffin and several members of his staff left for southern california. Florida has always been a strong player, and the gators have an excellent shot to add another talented prospect to the nation's top class.
Projection: Florida

It has hurt. I'm not sure what new guys we are looking at, but since X left, Coleman is saying 100% to AU, Wilson has committed to Louisville, Green has a visit to USC this weekend. Kouandjio, cullen, stone and robinson; i'm not sure where these guys stand. Looking forward to update from Sab.

the parents are the biggest draw for us right now...dooley needs to get in good with them

Agree 100%. The fact is, no person appeals to the WHOLE CROWD. We may miss out on some due to DD's lack of brashness or whatever, but he will pull in those who didn't dig Orgy and X's methods. Marlon Brown is one obvious example.

Orgy and X. For some reason those names seem fitting. I like it!

Really want this guy! He has been one of my favorite recruits this year. Hope CDD can convince him to sing ROCKY TOP for years to come!

Gators for Green?

Although USC is making a strong push, Florida has to be considered the strong team to beat for offensive tackle Chaz Green (Tampa, Fla./Catholic).

When Kiffin & Co. were at Tennessee, it looked as though the Vols were poised to land the talented tackle, but now the Gators are back in the driver's seat.

provided everybody sticks there are still three spots to go. with Maurkice Pouncey going to the NFL the Gators are looking for another offensive lineman to join Ian Silberman in this class.

We can also back count and with the inevitable attrition during spring ball, we could sign over the 28 man limit.

I know he's visiting USC this weekend but I don't see them as a player because it's too far from home. I say UF leads now but Dooley is the wildcard and if he impresses the parents, then it's UT. Parents usually win out IMO.

back counting doesn't matter with regard to the SEC signee limit. early enrolling high schoolers still sign their letters of intent on NSD and the SEC signee limit prevents a program from signing more than 28 players from NSD to May 31.

If we sign over 28 it's because someone (like post graduate Travon Van) signs their LOI after May 31.
