I hope all these head coaches we've hired work well together.

No, it's Cut! No, it's Smith! No, it's Wittingham, Stoops, Dooley! AGGGGHHHHHH!! Dooley, fyi, would be reaching low. The guy has very little coaching experience of any kind. I'm not saying he doesn't have a future (everybody does), but three years at La. tech is pretty much his career. I do think he's smart and knows the south--got a nice pedigree with his dad, and could surely recruit georgia. So, some positives for sure, but unproven and doubt he could get a kiffin-like staff. Why would a guy like Chaney want to work for Dooley? Only if he has to.

Is that more bandwidth will be available on this site, as I quit being a Vol football supporter, financially and otherwise.

Hamilton will not be hiring Dooley. It would end him to hire Dooley over Kippy. He knows it, we know it, everyone knows it.

Rex is just posting crap that he gets from the other sites, which are littered with as much garbage as this one.

+1 If Hamilton hires Dooley out of LA Tech with a 17-20 record, he will commit career suicide. It's not going to happen.

If it is Dooley, how can we seriously recruit the state of Georgia.......against his fathers school. Would that not cause a family problem? Would little Dooley seriously recruit hard down there?

Would be the most foolish coaching hire in 25 yrs.

Or the most brilliant. You never know when you hire someone like that.

We once took a chance on a 34-year-old guy who had been a UT assistant for just one season, and his only coaching experience prior to that was a few years as an assistant coach at Army. The guy he replaced at UT was basically ran out of town on a rail and ended up back in high school football.

That hire was really a disaster...for the teams on UT's schedule.

His name's on the stadium now.

I'm not advocating Dooley's hire, but I'd rather us take a chance on someone like him than go drag in somebody who had already proven they can't build a championship team. We could hire someone like Houston Nutt or Tommy Bowden right now, but we all know they'd never get us where we want to be.

I will take him if he keeps most of the current staff intact.

Would rather have a Whittingham, ect.

There will be plenty of people stopping with donations and such if Dooley is hired.

All these people saying they wont be back because of a bad hire crack me up.
If i had the enegery i would copy and paste there names and just see how quickly they come back at the first sign of success be it next year or 3 years.
I give to the school my hearts there, im not turning my back

I won't give up on my team, but I won't be getting my season tickets next year. I will come up for some games and hope for the best from him, but I can't make that financial commitment to such an unknown.
