I have zero issue with Kiffin and have been a supporter from Day 1. However, a very close second would have been Chris Peterson in my book. Obviously recruiting would have been a different animal, but from and X and O standpoint I think he is at or near the top of the list.

besides Kiffin, I would have picked Gary Patterson. He seems more UT than than Peterson. Both are good coaches!

I think Patterson would have been a good choice as well. He had the recruiting base in Texas, has competed and even beaten some high profile teams, seems like a great game day coach.

:lolabove: that is a really really really bad rumor. I like the way he runs his team and the offense that he runs. I would have personally preferred Scott Linehan, the guy is schematically brilliant.
