Regular season means nothing...just ask Belichick

For Manning to go 16-0 with the 31st ranked rush attack and the 16th ranked defense is unbelievable. Not to mention 2 first-time starters at WR (a rookie 4th rounder and a 2nd year 6th rounder).

and getting MVP and winning the Super Bowl beats that easily by like....i dunno 3 or 4 fold

They aren't exclusive. Your argument is flawed.

look dont lash at me. But I'm sure if you win the super bowl in Feb, most of you won't care by then what the record was.

And for the people talking about Manning's legacy....I think it's already pretty cemented

If we win the superbowl, I'll still be pissed about this.

Ummm, they were 14-0 playing the Jets and Bills......it's not like they had far to go.

it's just really less of a big deal in the odd run. Yeah it's a peculiar move, but if I won the super bowl at year's end i really wouldn't care

And hey! Manning just shook hands with Ainge! :)

The jets were kinda competing for their lives too. This seemed a bit merciful also.

If the jets win next week then you guys would end up playing them if they can beat the 3rd team...pats?

I bet the stars are pleased that they won't have to play in Buffalo next week. No telling what the weather is going to be like.

Big plate of crow to whoever thought Indy wouldn't stick to their yearly M.O.

Actually they didn't. They played everyone at Jacksonville for the whole game. And they played everyone this game until the 3rd Quarter.

If anything what they did today was dumber.

Plus Caldwell didn't do himself any favors today. It's not like the pressure goes away now that they've lost a game, if anything the pressure is even more on him now; if they don't win the Super Bowl he's going to be raped over his decision today.

I think the point isn't that the Colts lost....it's HOW they lost. They gave up. And they gave up with a 5 point lead and likely 1 more Manning drive may have done it (maybe not but we'll never know).

Had they played their starters and lost, hey it would have sucked but at least they tried. But to play the starters into the middle of the 3rd quarter, and THEN pull them? Right after the offense seemed to gel better? THAT is where criticism is valid. When the Saints lost to the Cowboys, they got a standing ovation for going 13-0....but they lost TRYING to win.

I'm hearing Colts fans are pretty irate over the decision.
