Tennessee under NCAA investigation over use of recruiting hostesses

This stinks to high heaven that a secondary violation would get this much attention, particularly during the recruiting process. We are getting bent over a barrel by someone behind the scenes, NCAA usually doesn't investigate these things during recruiting. Slive is the POS behind all of this if I had to guess.

They freakin' held up a sign at a football game. Dammit, if I'm going to waste my time reading an article about misuse of hostesses, I want orgies and obscene amounts of cocaine.

The story mentions the hostesses being the talk of UT message boards. ??? Not that I've seen. Who is flying hostesses to football games in other states? That's pretty dumb, if true. Not sure if it's a violation--we'll find out--but a bit extreme.

If it is OK for bammer to buy 'em , it should be Ok for UT to wow 'em. Bama's motto-----Escalades all around.
This too will go away. There are REAL violations going on elsewhere-----don't open that can----ncaa.

Yes. I was shocked by the article. The quotes to make it sound more damning were high comedy. Somebody went out of his way to plant this with the NYT ad it has apparently been effective, but this will be embarrassing for that man in the end.

The lack of aggreessiveness on and off the field the we, The Orange Nation, commonly complained about with Fulmer will continue to come at a high price to fix.

Since the NCAA and the NY times have nothing better to do than troll internet message boards looking for a crumb of dirt. I encourage everyone to start as many rumors as they want of rivals schools.

I got the same feeling when reading the article. Has anyone read the report of the DT (cant think of his name) that went to Oklahoma over Texas? Hostesses were involved in orgies, took them to strip clubs, and drugs were all around.

I like your spin on things, makes the whole thing 10x more interesting

Welcome to Alabama's world, CLK will definitely be under intense scrutiny from the NCAA.

Given the nature of the story, are you really surprised at which paper this is in?

True! Just pisses me off. It essentially gives no examples of what we potentially did wrong (vs. a couple girls going to a football game). It's all about what it's insinuating. Typical lib-tard media.

Don't worry some of the yocals will twist this from hostesses holding up signs to orgies with poor unsuspecting recruits. The only good thing I can see out of this whole thing is visiting UT just moved to the top of every elite recruit's list.

karma is a bit**...this not only looks bad for Tennessee, but for all of college football...what a disgrace this program has become...

is it funny to bend and break rules? thats what this program is known for now...lane thinks he can bend all the rules and take the minor violations...

boo me if you want vol fans...but in reality, you know this is true...this is just wrong and it's not Tennessee football

What if it was Meyer or Spurrier that hired the hostesses?!!? I wouldn't put it past either one of them to stoop that low.

It pisses me off that they really have nothing at all , yet it's plastered all over the media, news and air waves. God i hope Lane finds out who did this. Paybacks can be a *****.
