Tennessee under NCAA investigation over use of recruiting hostesses

This is just part of the NCAA's infatuation with Lane Kiffin and his staff here at Tennessee.. He has become somewhat of a folk hero here, but also he has become a enemy to them. They do not like him or the way he conducts business, so they are out to make him fail. The evidence is in the fact that they are interviewing prospective recruits before the national signing date (something they normally NEVER do)... This whole thing smells of Slive and the rest of the SEC..... And for the Fulmerites who have come out in force today I would remind you that your coach is gone and we now have a new and exciting one.... LONG LIVE LANE AND HIS STAFF

The fact they're interviewing potential recruits before signing day tells me they got it in for Lane.

The article states basically they got their source from internet boards.:crazy: Now that's rock solid evidence there. These guys are clowns.

This is absurd. Especially for this article to publish so many comments from a recruit who publicly announced that he would not go to Tennessee. If I am recruiting Lattimore I say watch out because he is capable of starting something if he thinks it will get him in the public eye. It is odd that Tennessee has become such a huge topic on violations. If someone were to give me a NCAA rule book and I took it on the road to many power universities, there would not be enough people to follow up on the investigations. Let's start a rumor right now to see how far it gets. I here Spurrier is hiring 20 yr. old super models as gas station attendants to get recruits excited about South Carolina. Violation? Sounds like it to me.

This is RIDICULOUS that they are interviewing recruits as we are still in the recruiting process. They've talke to Jones, Dunkley, Willis, Miller, and they're going to see juwan james too? i think there was others mentioned. that is absurd. This seems like harassment...if i was a recruit riding the fence between two schools, and the NCAA knocks on my door asking questions, I probably would be a little leary of going there. This pisses me off and I hope Kiffin goes on the offensive against the NCAA for this.

Anybody know where we can find some pictures of these beautiful Tenn ladies? I want to see what exactly all the fuse is about and what the rest of SEC is so scared of that they go crying to the NCAA. UT is not the only school "using" their hostesses (if this is true). Being from Texas, and being recruited by Baylor, Colorado, and Texas A&M I could not tell you the stories of the things the hostesses deemed appropriate to do to get our attention as recruits. This does concern me because everyone remembers how the NCAA slapped down on Colorado for their hostesses practices.

Kiffin for President! Then Make Cryer Ambassador to Antartica!

Yeah... They had several threads for LPE.. and others.. There was one where they posted pictures of all of them..

Oh Lord...the offseason is coming...this will be a fun one again I am sure!

I really am not worried about this, just hope Kiffin really does just walk the line and barely step across everyonce in a while. Because we are in the radar now where we can't break any major rules and get away with it.

Meyer gave me something called Gator bucks that he said all the ladies of the night accepted in Gainsville..

He said the players were allowed 10 gator bucks a day

Recruiting is a dirty business. I guess this is penance for his numerous comments directed at Slive/Meyer.

Ayup. Lightning rod coaches/programs get a lot of attention. You think they aren't watching every little step Saban makes? They're all over anybody that rocks the boat.

Oh, and regarding the topic of the thread. Are you telling me that universities use very attractive and friendly upperclass coeds as a tool to influence the decisions of strong, athletic 17-18 year old males? Say it ain't so!
