If the coaches had decided they wanted him, I feel like we would have offered by now. It seems really late for us to still be evaluating. I would like to have cam, but the coaches obviously aren't sold on him. So, we'll probably see him in a color other than UT orange on saturdays. Honestly, its his loss because we'll be bringing in a lot of talent and playing at a much higher level than wherever he ends up signing...

Agreed. And why wouldn't he be? If I'm not mistaking he will only have 1 year.That's why he(or another Juco stud with 1 or 2 yrs eligibility) is the best route for a given kid and our program..it
1.Gives a JUCO stud a chance to earn a real name and develope under a higher level to fine tune his skills and potentially help his stock.
2.Gives us a qb that's 2 years more developed than a 18 year old during a "rebuilding year"which allows continued development of young guys without having to count on them.
3. Leaves open the possibility that our future QB could actually come from the '11 class and not the '10 class. Allbeit if we can't sign the right guy this year.
We could very well be three classes iin when he gets his guy.

If Rees doesn't work out, i could see Cam being a contengiency plan. I find it hard to believe we will go into next year with Stephens and an unknown in Bray. At least with Cam or Rees or whoever we have some more options.

Again...do you have a link? It's one thing to pass on some news, but it's another to pass off your gut feeling like it's news.

If they do, they do...no problem. I'm just not inclined to take so many pontificators opinions as gospel...especially when Cam said he would visit AFTER his season is over.
I doubt the ink has dried, yet...that's why I'm optimistic and just waiting til the fax lady sings.

The posts by those in the know on VQ are probably too old to still be in the database because that topic has been dead for a while. It is common knowledge that Cam will not be a Vol. Ship sailed long ago. Anyone who thinks Cam will get an offer is going off nothing but blind hope. Rees is the guy we want now...

And Cam visited UT back in the summer...

Because Rees is twice the QB in comparison to Simms, and fits the system. Also, Kiffin and Chaney have loved Rees since they saw him throw the first time.

The only way it will die is if it's locked. Some people refuse to believe that the staff doesn't like him and he's the savior to our program.

I can tell you that I know people who have direct links to the coaching staff, and I have been told that Cam will not have an offer. That solid enough for you?? Your the only person that still seems to have some faith that Cam will get an offer, and I really think you need to get over it because he will not receive one. We have moved on, and I suggest that you should as well.
