the real reason JJ was suspended for the Memphis Game? Everybody keeps talking about a failed drug test and I thought it was a bar fight on the strip.

I believe it was a failed drug test. Brent Hubbs said so on the (zone) 104.5 last week.

Jimmy Hyams said drug test,lol! I heard he tried to take a beer out of a bar and scuffled with the bouncer a little bit! Something about the bouncer grabbing his chain and not giving it back! All speculation because the school does not release that information, don't worry about it, I'm not! CLK will do what he needs to!

I also think drug test suspensions last longer than 1 week. Usually the test taker must supply clean sample before re-admittance!

In light of the situation he was in last week, I would say that he probably was suspended for failed drug test(s) as well as a bar fight.

I know many people who work at the bar where the JJ incident took place. The whole rumor about how he acted at the bar is true. He tried to leave with a beer in his hand. That, combined with the failed drug test, resulted in his suspension.

The only reason I ask is because people on this board keep dogging him! He missed a spring practice, failed a drug test and wrong place wrong time. So now he is a thug and a cancer to the team?

Was the failed drug test ever actually confirmed (by someone more reliable than Hyams)? I thought Kiffin denied that report.

With his dad being a football coach, I have to assume that he is in a lot of trouble. I just don't understand this.

If you heard it from Jimmy, then it's probably the total complete opposite.

sounds like jj is going to self destruct regardless... hope he doesn't get another player kicked off if he stays..

Afterhe signed with UT there was an article out there with an interview from his dad. He talked about one of the manin reason he wanted his son not to be at LSU was because of the people he was running around with in LA. He wanted him in better environment and that is why he came to UT.

I dont buy this wrong place wrong time stuff. he was out at 2am. passed curfew. He knew he wasnt supposed to be there and he chose to go. JJ is a great player and all, but honestly he needs some serious suspension and he needs to grow up, and quit making these mistakes. I know he is a 19yr old kid, and I remember being 19, but I had sense enough to know some things aren't worth risking.

I have yet to see it reported these guys were breaking curfew

They weren't. In the first interview that Kiffin gave about this whole mess he stated that they weren't out after curfew.

There is no curfew. If he failed his drug test and was sorry and trying to do better, Why was he out at 2am with a chick with weed in the car and in her possession?

He is a great player but a rotten apple - he needs to go before he spoils more apples.

I hate to say this because I really like JJ and think that he is an amazing player BUT after reading this I have to say that perhaps it isn't the people JJ is hanging with but it is JJ himself? If all the things that we have been reading about him are true then he really has some issues and of course birds of a feather flock together and he will find people with the same interests as he has. Just saying..:hmm:
