For the first half against Vandy, are you kidding me??? And Slive signed off on it, said thats enough punishment, god I hate Cryer, Florida and Slive!!!
Publicly criticizing an official will now get a coach suspended for a game or more. Trying to poke another player's eye while your teammates hold him down is worth a half a game. Wow, Slive really has his priorities straight.
To be fair, if you suited up and drilled someone with a sweet, head across the front form tackle on the street, you'd also be hauled to jail. Just sayin'. Posted via VolNation Mobile

a) Because Bryant lied to NCAA investigators during a formal inquiry about recruiting violations or player benefits, a problem that the NCAA is so afraid of that it spends the bulk of its enforcement resources trying to keep it from getting out of hand;
or,
b) Because the SEC is conspiring within its offices to ensure that Florida and Alabama meet up undefeated in Atlanta so that one of then can go and pound someone like Boise State and guarantee the SEC many more millions of dollars;
or,
c) Because the SEC administration is conspiring with Urban Meyer to do anything it can to make Kiffin look bad. And though they have not exactly figured out how, this episode with Spikes will end up causing problems for UT because everyone hates UT since they fired Fulmer and hired Kiffin.
For all of you about to swallow your tongues over the injustice of Spikes getting just a half game suspension, you must keep in mind it is for the attempt and not for the actual act of eye gouging. A one game suspension would have been appropriate.
Of course nothing short of having him kicked off the team and carted off to prison in shackles will be enough to satisfy Gator Haters.
