It is all over Volquest. Some posters over there are guaranteeing that we wear black.

Some have even made bets saying they will ban themselves from posting over there if we don't wear them.

Just wanted to let you guys know. I personally don't think we will. I will be there, so it will be a crazy night if we do.

Went by practice on Thursday and was running around with someone from development who said Mike Hamilton said no black jerseys. Of course what would he say if we were going black and orange. Of course he would say no black jerseys. After talking about it with the development guy for 15 minutes and debating the pros and cons I ran into a manager and asked him where he had the black jerseys. He said that the "official response" is he didn't know anything about black jerseys. From that I was hypothicating that there was about a 50-50 chance of black jerseys and orange pants. If people on the other sites are willing to bet and be banned then I think it is up to 75 -25. There are just too many equipment managers, trainers, players, girlfriends, parents, etc. to keep this a total secret if in fact they are wearing the black.

I am betting on the black and orange for Halloween because win or lose that would be all over every news outlet in American. You can not buy that kind of advertising and it would be a huge public relations bonanza I think. Fear the Orange and tomorrow Fear the Orange and Black.

My thing is this. If we were gonna wear black wouldn't the administration tell the fanbase so we could wear all black?

Why surprise us with this?

I think that if it happens, it will be a secret up until the moment we take the field. Whether you are for, against, or on the fence with the issue, imagine the excitement level in the stadium if they run out in black. I am for traditional. I do admit though that the PR would be huge just for changing up the unis for one game.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here please but didn't georgia a couple of years ago, go through this same "black out or no black out" ordeal. And then the dogs took the field in their normal red jerseys only to take them off on the sideline to uncover their black jerseys. Copycatting is never cool but can you imagine the business that would create for hearing doctors across the state because neyland staduim would explode like never before.

Sounds cool. But I don't see Kiffin doing the copycat thing. He is original and if they come out in black it will be all his idea. JMO.

If the University of Tennessee football team comes out onto the field wearing black jerseys I will not watch the game. That will be the first time I will miss a game that I would have had the opportunity to watch on television or in person. Tennessee football is about tradition, not the latest fad.

I agree 100 % If Kiffin is going to do something it's going to be his own invention. I seriously don't see anything out of the ordinary happening as far as uniforms go. CLK is to focused on his opponent and winning the game to be messing around with cosmetic junk. JUST WIN BABY!!!!!!!

No it's about football not fashion. I would watch the game and cheer like always even if they came out like in the Lamborghini picture. Just not a big deal, leave the fashion for the ladies. Are you going to go shopping instead of watching? Maybe knit an orange sweater. Who cares?

Seriously though, I say we wait until we win a few championships before we wear gawd awful, sacreligious black in Neyland Stadium.

I mean is it honestly that big a deal what jersey they wear. I don't think it's a national story either way...MAYBE a mention made on sportcenter with the highlights. Its a story in knoxville, but not anywhere else

That being said I want to see it just because its different, but I'm not waiting on the edge of my seat in anticipation of seeing what jerseys we wear. I'm waiting in anticipation to see who scores the TD on our opening drive

Lol. Your posts continue to get worse. Its actually comical which may have been your intent to begin with because all true fans will watch the game no matter what color jersey they are wearing. Not that I have to justify anything to you but I do support the university of which I graduated some 7 years ago and I do support the athletic department therein. Just admit it. If they come out in black jerseys you will be mad but you will still watch the game. There is no way that as a vol fan of which your name says could keep from doing so.
