My local sports radio station here in Seattle talked about Lil Wayne and Kiffin this morning. It's pretty sweet that local radio stations, 2000 miles from Knoxville are talking about our program!

Yeah because we got nothing really in West Tennessee. We are considered a part of north Mississippi or something.

I listen to WFNZ (out of Charlotte) online every morning. There is a guy on the show who just decided to become a Tennessee fan this summer all because of Kiffin's antics. A little of it is tongue-in-cheek, but still, he's talked about the Vols every week so far this year.
Today is a great one, because there are lots of USC Jr. fans around that area, and he's been shooting them down all day.
It really is funny to listen to a guy on a station in Charlotte go on about the Vols like he's in Knoxville...or even like he has liked them at all before this season.

THAT is awesome! Every fan has to start somewhere. If you aren't born into it, something has to start you liking the team, right?

I live in Charlotte and listen to those guys every morning. It's comical to actually listen to some of the USCjr fans call in... They are an embarrassment to college football fans around the country. I hope we dominate them this weekend so I can listen to them complain about how bad they are all next week.

Not really. The Commercial Appeal in Memphis has an article here and there but most of the coverage is for Ole Miss and U of Memphis. There is an article about Florida and one about Miss State in todays paper but nothing on UT the day before a game. Most of my info comes from this site.

There's a radio station out here in Barcelona that did a little piece about it, too. Vol nation is taking over the world. There are a lot of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid fans out here, but the local media is gushing over Kiffen and Co.
Lane is so good that even if a recruit is on the fence about UT, he just convinces him to quit football so that none of the rivals can have him. True story.

Nobody gives a crap that you couldn't cut it in America and had to default to Spain for a job. We are aware that you went to UF and desperation is a part of your life.

haha, unfortunately Spain's unemployment is currently at 25%, so it actually makes me look better. Also, I'm earning the Euro. Every one of those gets me a $1.50 back home. And being that the major markets have comparable prices, that means I'm doing pretty well. But hey, it's always great to be a Florida Gator. :pepper:

Eh, it's better than outright lying to a recruit. Telling him that he wants you to be his QB and saying that he's recruiting Tebow as a safety.

Linebacker.
And I sometimes wonder how that would've turned out. Tebow, Spikes and Doe at backers and Snead in the pocket (it was Snead, right?). I think we'd be better off as a team now, minus one Heisman.

Sorry, linebacker. And it wouldn't have turned out, because Tebow was never recruited as a linebacker. He was recruited as a QB. Meyer outright lied to Snead, that's my point.

C'mon now, BPV.

Barca is pretty dadgum sweet, the Spaniards can be a pain in the a., though. They kind of remind me of ND fans; years removed from their former glory but as cocky about it as if it were yesterday.

Felicidades, catfish! Por quem tu es trabajando?

PS- os jacares podem tomais no cu!!

touche. however, I try to shy away from sexual orientation, religion, politics, etc. and stick to poking fun at the light-hearted material, like college football. pepper is the man! :pepper:

who's to say if we landed Snead we wouldn't have stuck Tebow at backer (or fullback, or tightend, etc)? just a question.
It would be a major waste of talent regardless of which one was at qb if the other were sitting. my guess is that they would both have got significant playing time somewhere (with snead at qb, of course, since he wouldn't fit anywhere else). Hey, it worked with Leak.

Niiice. I'm impressed. Unfortunately I don't disclose personal information over the web (particularly on this website, for obvious reasons). And my spanish isn't good enough to translate the PS! jacares? no chance that's catalan?

Anyhow, thanks for the well wishes. and you just moved up a notch in my book. :pepper:
