Florida Getting BS Calls!

SEC: No video evidence of Arkansas Razorbacks penalty - ESPN

It appears that the SEC acknowledged the one of the bs calls during the Arkansas game. What about the no calls? How can Tebow do what he does and not get flagged for excessive celebration? How can the same group of officials make the same mistake two games in a row that benefits the same team? It's fishy and UF should be held to the same standards as everyone else.

The article mentioned that this was the same crew that had the LSU-GA game. How much do you want to bet that this crew gets the TN-Bama game and blows a call or Calls a no call as the article states? I hope not...:banghead2:

I don't think it matters which crew gets our game this week. We will have to overcome some bad calls and/or no calls for sure. You only have to look as far as the helmet to helmet hit that knocked out the USCe receiver and every official was looking the other way? The Tide D-backs are a good bunch but they get away with alot of stuff just like UF did. I hope its not the case but I am afraid it will be frustrating to watch.

And what about Tebow taking his helmet off while on the field on one of the last plays before the FG?

What about the offensive pass interference that wasn't called on UF on the same drive? It was way more interference than what they called on Arkansas on UF's previous drive.

And what about the UF kicker after he made the game winning FG? He was dancing on the field as he and the team ran over to the sideline, no excessive celebration penalty there.

So, I guess in the rule books, there's an asterisk next to every rule, and at the bottom the asterisk notes, "These rules apply to everyone except the Gators."

Can somebody educate me on this? I thought in college if a receiver goes down that he is no longer eligable just as if he had gone out of bounds before making a catch. Late in the game Cooper made a crucial catch after going to one knee. This maybe an old rule that I remember from back in the dark ages when I played in high school.

the catch is still complete but the wr can't advance the ball.

If I recall though he had gone down and was back up when he made the catch and he advanced the ball a yard or two before the D-back made the tackle.

Those calls were crap, even as a florida fan I don't want to have the officials influence a game that way. We have been screwed by officials in the past but that still doesn't make this right. These officials should really be relegated to the worse SEC game of the week so they don't influence more important games.

I'm just glad that this isn't just a whole 'nother thread about the officiating in the UF-Arky game. To go along with the eight others already on here.

While not fair the champ/veteran always gets the calls over the challenger/rookie. It happens in every sport.

True, I forgot about the media. Seems we have it all and then some.

Just curious, how is a team who is defending BCS champs with a Heisman winning QB and 2 titles in the last 3 years overhyped? The hype is clearly well earned. :yes:

He was actually doing the opposite. I know white people dance bad, but not that bad. He was trying to keep his teammates from over celebrating.

As for the other calls. The personal foul on the DL was one of the worst calls I've ever seen as our player engaged him.

The offensive pass interference call was questionable but how often do they call it when it is an incompletion?

We have had games this year where the calls went our way like this game, and we have had games where the calls don't go are way. The Tennessee game this year was like this.

Our player hits a guy for a 6 yard loss and starts celebrating too much and gets a 15 yard penalty. Tennessee player sacks Tebow and starts celebrating and they don't call it. Sometimes calls go your way and sometimes they don't.

So what calls have gone against you that the SEC later apologized for?
