Crompton finds religion!

According to the gentleman, Crompton accepted God a few weeks ago. The man said that he and Cromp had been talking and that he had been praying for JC for a while (as he had obviously gone through some rough times). Well, last Saturday before the UGA game, the two shared a prayer. Apperantly, the Chaplin told JC that he really felt that God had some amazing things in store for him.

Lo-and-behold...

Looks like Tebow isn't the only QB with a divine edge! Well, the Lord wears Orange afterall!

Go Vols!

This got the :post-4-1090547912:. I don't care What Crompton thinks makes him play better, as long as he keeps it up. GO BIG ORANGE!!!

I think it's awesome that Crompton has found Jesus. Christ has certainly made a huge difference in my life. I think it has little to nothing to do with his performance in the Georgia game. But who knows? I'm sure God could turn Crompton into the next Peyton Manning if he chose to do so. HE's GOD

A buddy of mine teaches at Jeff. County. He is involved with FCA. Now, with JCHS being so close to Knoxville and one of the 2 or 3 largest high schools in the state (by population), we've often had athletes from UT show up and speak (Ace, Hall, etc.). So, Thursday night UT's Chaplin (didn't get a name) came and spoke to the club after the game. My buddy was just talking football with him after the small meeting and inevitabley the topic of Crompdaddy came up.

Was that Charlie Chaplin or Geraldine Chaplin?

As a Christian, it absolutely does not explain a good game... perhaps a change in his mindset, but God's not going to start completing passes for him. As a Christian, I lost 29 out of 30 of my highschool games. I believe that 'splains it all.
God will allow struggles at every turn for those attention He is trying to get...just like the car thief running from the cops....eventually he is apprehended.

Paul, the Apostle was one such individual. Just like you use different tools for different jobs...He can use anything He wants to bring you to the point of decision.

The guy that called to tell me this is not someone who just throw THIS out there. He's a pretty strong Christian and was really looking to share something positive. He's also been my best friend for about 15 years. I'm not saying that this, in any way, explains a great game...just being a little light hearted. Take it for what you want...just thought I'd share some good news.

Go Vols!

I thought Danny Wuerrfel cornered the good graces of Christ years ago. Now it seems God is playing favorites with QBs in the SEC. I remember one October Saturday he chose a righteous Steve Tanneyhill.

Does anyone else feel bad for Crompton? Religion is very personal, and there are thousands of people on this site who can read this thread. I know college athletes at big schools have to sacrifice some privacy, but this isn't Tebow. I mean, Crompton has never made his faith public (that I can remember), and this announcement didn't come from him.

Just my opinion.

The distance between heaven and hell is 18 inches. that is the distance from the heart and the brain. If JC has peace in his heart and that gave him clarity to see and think clearly, great for him.

I am very glad to hear of anyone who has faith or has obtained it from whatever means that God has chosen to use to introduce himself to them with. I do not attribute either his good or bad games to the fact he has accepted Christ. I can attest to the fact that it does give one clarity and insight, which explains my deep seated hatred for our up coming foe. GO VOLS BEAT BAMA
