Good lord. Have all the Fulmerites now become Cromptonites?!? This guy is an absolute cancer. You can't beat good teams or even decent teams when they know that you can't throw the ball downfield. Our opponents are actually hoping that we'll throw the ball downfield because they know that Crompton will throw far more picks than touchdowns (unfortunately, our crappy QB can't play every game against Western Kentucky).
On and on this goes....some folks still looking for the light at the end of the tunnel for Crompton.......
....He has been and remains the weakest link for a team that realistically should be 3-0 at this point.
JC was not part of the game plan for defeating Fla, his role was not to screw this thing up and give some others the opportunity to step up and get the win....sadly, he still managed to kill two drives with his arm.
Are you kidding me? He didn't throw but maybe 5 balls down field (past 5 yards). 90% of our passes were to our running backs.
And yes that is the playcalling.
But why is the playcalling that way?
Because Crompton sucks.
Give me a break.
...not his head, just the bench. I mean it when I say that he has a HUGE amount of "intangibles". I, as I was writing this, just looked at Ryan Mallets third TD pass against Ga in the first quarter. It would be different if the recievers were'nt open and the line were not blocking. His inability effects EVERYTHING from the blocking to team chemistry. I hate it for the kid, but, frankly, I think he's got a big dose of arrogance mixed in with his IQ challenge that prevents him from growing and even hastens his digression. He played better today. YesHe didn't have the best game, but people who are calling for his head for this game are wrong. Period.
Our crappy QB is better than the other QBs on our team.
You will lose this argument. If he wasn't the best, he wouldn't have been on the field.
Crompton is supposedly an absolute stud in practice. However, in an actual game he has all the competence of a 10-year-old QB trying to play in the SEC. I dont give a damn HOW much better Crompton plays in practice than our other QB's because Crompton has shown over and over and over again that he has ZERO ability of playing well in a game. He's had his chance. He's had his second chance. Hell, he's had his third chance. HE SUCKS! It's time to move on with him occupying his rightful place on the bench.
11-19 for 93 yds with 2 picks and 0 TD's. The kid is awful as a QB. End of story. He didn't cost us the game because he wasn't given the chance too like everybody else has already said.
What's worse?
11-19.....93 yards....2 interceptions (4 quarters against Florida)
3-9........27 yards....2 interceptions (2 quarters against Wyoming)
