On a serious note, I am way down with our coaching staff (and have been for quite some time). Despite our playcalling being wildly handicapped by Crompton, we were still very much in the game.

Oh, and he played to keep in "respectible" rather than trying to win as the clock ran down.

If there was ever any questions as to whether Coach Kiffin's offseason tactics were arrogant, rude remarks made by the youngest coach in D1 football or orchestrated plays aimed at bringing UT back to the national spotlight and garnering a top level recruiting class, it was answered by the postgame interview.

Tennessee loses by 10 to the mighty Gators at the hands of the the chosen one, Tim Tebow, and his beloved coach, the genius Urban Meyer, and who do they cut to for the first postgame interview?

Lane freaking Kiffin.

Say what you will about Kiffin. You think he's brash, mouthy, cocky, whatever...that's fine. You hate his tactics, and think he should be more respectful...you're intitled to you opinion. All I've got to say is, whatever his agenda is...

it's working.

You see their exchange at the end of the game? All of 1.5 seconds. The players seemed much friendlier to each other. Kiffin is making the reporters chase him around the field.

Personally I really appreciate our new coaching staff. Lane is cool as a cucumber, he is getting the attention the program needs, and he is not satisfied with mediocrity. He said more than once during the interviews that he expects to win and they are going to work their tails off until the wins come one right after another, I'm convinced. I'm sure more recruits sat up and took notice of UT.

There is indeed a monster growing amidst the hills of Tennessee. The rest of the SEC can feel it... :rock::rock::rock:

Toughness tends to do that to opponents. Respect at the end of the game vs. reports from a couple of years ago from Fla players saying that one of our players said I'm not going to block you/// Times are changing.

What exactly were you expecting? Having unrealistic expectations is why your angry, not the team's play. You can't see it. You're stuck in UT is a top 5 program. We're not! Not in the last 7 years no matter what the polls said. But soon...soon, we will be.

Change your attitude and change your life. The glass IS half full.
