Dude, you were out in left field from the get go on this one. Didn't it occur to you that you were all by yourself with the rambling ranting? Education is a wonderful thing.

Bye Bye. :whistling:

Should have known from your first post in this thread that you are a perfect candidate for my ignore list, congrats.

You tell me...hndog...Do you even know what you say?

I certainly don't know what you're saying (or asking) in this post.

Tell you what, at the very least go back and read my OP, the part I conveniently labeled "serious", and get back to me.

Advice was free, just like the rest of it.

I'm working under the assumption this little bit is all in good fun. This is based on another assumption that your cognitive skills were up to the task of my post clearly delineating a "serious" and "less than serious" answer.

I'm not guilty of badly overestimating your comprehension skills, am I?

Bingo! Dang at was gud!

In my honest opinion, bashing Crompton is the most cowardly thing I've ever seen. Do I love the guy? No. But he is a kid out there trying his best for Tennessee. He goes to practice, makes good grades, and is a respectable citizen. Just because he is a bust 4-star recruit doesn't mean it's the end of the world. The Vols have a bright future. Did anyone expect us to win 10 games this year? If you did, you're probably one of the one's bashing Crompton. It's a transition year for our program and sometimes with all the hype I think people tend to forget that. With our Top 5 recruiting class coming in next year and many more to come we should be getting all we can out of Crompton because if Stephens was any better he would have won the job during the spring. Give him a break, be a true fan, and root on the vols in victory or defeat. Besides, I'd like to see any of you guys take Crompton on 1 v 1. He is no shrimp!! haha.

In all seriousness, Adderall gave me laser focus. My ex-wife had a myriad of psychological issues and one of her quacks prescribed her a round of Adderall. Well, I broke one in half and took it. Thirty minutes later I was thinking clearer than I can ever remember. I was alert and direct. If I had Adderall while I was in college, I guarantee that my GPA would have been at least a full point higher. I took a couple more at later times and they had the same effect. I figure the NCAA would frown on the use of this substance, however.

Too late, mod---the culprit flew. After a while, though, that stuff grates on you. Feel free to delete any of his or mine you feel are out of line. It would make better reading for all.

THAT was what I was looking for. I think inderal is similar--older version. I really believe it would help Cromptom, but I don't know about the NCAA issue--which I also addressed. Thanks for that response. I simply do not understand some posters going off on the bashing tangent.

I'm not going off. I'm asking you to be realistic. If it was your kid would you want them to be throwing adderal in his mouth? I'm prescribed adderal and it's not exactly good for the body physically. It's addictive and not intended for a QB who can't read a route developing and judge when and where to throw a football. This is the most rediculous thread I've ever seen. The kid doesn't need medication, he needs to play at MTSU or somewhere. It's a simple case of a recruit not living up to their hype. It happens all the time. The idea of medicating a player because of their inabilities/incompetencies as an athlete is absolutly scum.

It's not his focus that needs working on. Know anything that is good for raising football IQ or something to give him better instincts? He just doesn't have the intangibles. Simple as that.

I don't know about the drug you are on, but the inderal I am familiar with is not addictive. So you think Cromp would be better at MTSU? The only thing holding Crompton back is the inability to handle the pressure of a big game. If he can look like Manning vs WKU, he certainly has the ability to play at a high level. Alcohol is addictive to some---personally I can have 1-2 and that's it. I think if Crompton were given a real dose of the proper med----one time--then a placebo thereafter, it just might work. I am not advocating a drug dependancy here--John is obviously great in practice.

BTW---it is spelled --------ridiculous.

Maybe he should take a few shots. Weren't the Red Sox doing that before games against the Yankees in the playoffs after they were down 3-0 in the series. They went on to win 4 in a row. I could be wrong but if it wasn't for that series, it may have been in the World Series. Either way, hitting a baseball after drinking would be much harder and take more concentration that throwing a football to someone. Give Crompton some booze. He's old enough.

SOMETHING! Anything to calm him down. That's all he needs. It is sad to watch the guy unravel.

I'm just saying the kid doesn't need anything. Look at his passer rating against any decent defense. There isn't a game where it was over 80. He just can't cut it in the SEC.

Adderol.

??

This would make him more jittery and nervous. Bad idea.

A small dosage of a sedative might not be a bad idea, but you have to be careful to make it small dose. You don't want him all loopy on xanax.

I don't know the first thing about beta blockers.

He would first need to be evaluated by a physician and be diagnosed before he could legally take medication. Depending on the problem, there are a lot of medications that could treat anxiety or ADHD that are not harmful. They may or may not help performance but could improve brain chemistry making it easier to focus.

Regulates the adrenaline----cures stage-fright
Prevents freaking out spells. Instills confidence. In small doses, you don't realize you are on anything, just go about your business. Sounds like something made for Crompton.
