I did not say the left does not do it as well.
I am saying that the right, particularly as organized by Beck and Limbaugh and Hannity, has really brought it to a whole new level.
Give the devil their due on it. It is definitely reeling in the more feeble minded and easily manipulated who cannot think for themselves.
They do not have as many reeled in as you think. Do you really mean to tell me that most liberals who watch Olbermann take what he presents as the truth? Or do they watch because he provides a show slanted to their political leanings with what they consider to be an entertaining angle?
Rush Hannity and Beck do not inspire any looney ideas in their audience, loons are loons and they were loons before they ever got into their show.
Rush is what he is, nothing new there.
Hannity is a partisan blow hard.
Beck is something new, he is partisan no doubt, I will say from the few shows I have seen he has presented some important info on hot topic and relevant subjects.....as well a some left field stuff.
The average republican isn't organized by any of the above, they have been organized and united by their opposition to Obama's drastic proposals and policy changes. They happen to believe they are every bit as harmful to the country as the liberals thought Bush was, and as more time goes by and more comes out I believe they are both right.
The advantage the republicans have over the democrat in objectivity right now appears to be that republicans have experienced first hand what bad policy and doggedly pursuing your agenda when the country does not approve can do. Many democrats and liberals at this point are still too caught up and vested in Obama to see this yet........though some are starting to come around.
The best piece of advice I can give to democrats at this point is learn from the mistakes the right made. During the Bush Gore election I was independent who leaned right on some issues. As of 9-11 I moved much further right, after this last election I moved back to my original independent spot.
