Looking Past The Upcoming Beatdown...

I hope I'm wrong but it could be a bad stretch for us. Unless we can run the ball well, we could struggle to score. Even with a great OL, it's hard to run against a decent defense when they know you want to run--and we don't have a great OL. This is why I couldn't understand kiffin's vanilla offense last week. If our offense doesn't get considerably better, I think UT could lose every SEC game this year except maybe kentucky*and vandy, and I would hardly call them gimmes.

 Since when have UCLA and Auburn qualified as two biggest games on our schedule?

Because they're swing games. Unlike Florida, Bama, WKU, and Ohio, those two games can't immediately be placed in the W or L columns.

They're tossups. They're the difference in a 8-4 season and a 5-7 season.

it's obvious that the three game homestand that follows will determine how the season plays out for UT. Win all three, you can still win 8 games. Win two, bowl eligibility is still likely. Lose two and the whole thing comes unhinged.

Who would you play at QB?

I figure next year will surely be better. If Bray is just mediocre as a freshman, he'll improve the entire team. That said, I hope we sign two QBs to avoid placing every egg into one 4-star basket.

7-5 with a win over UGA is still my prediction, even if we get destroyed in Gainesville.

The defense alone will keep us in almost every game for four quarters unless the QB completely gift-wraps it.

Problem is - when the fourth quarter rolls around, somebody's going to have to lead a drive to win.

I've been watching UT football for over 30 years, and I'm pretty sure that this is the first game in that entire span that I have felt like we had almost literally zero chance to win. If they played this game 100 times, UF would win 98 or 99 of them. No QB + no OL = no credible passing threat = no running game = a ton of 3 and outs = an exhausted defense = asskicking.

I'm confident that our guys aren't going to quit, though. That's not acceptable anymore. It'll be worth watching the 4th quarter no matter how bad it is just to see evidence of how much the culture has changed.

As they say, "Do the math."

I think its pretty much a given that Crompton will give a few gifts probably every game
