The worse the gators want to beat down the Vols, the more dramatic and pronounced they want the victory to be, the better it is for the Vols.

Only in Big Orange bizzaro world could you spin a 30-6 loss (and a shutout for the first 3 quarters) into a moral victory.

Here's the deal. UF took the opening drive and ran it down UT's throat and scored a TD. Hardesty fumbles on UT's next possession and UF cashed in with a Field goal and led 10-0. Incidentally, that was the only points UF scored on a short field as a result of a turnover. A Brandon James punt return makes it 17-0. Crompton fumbles at the UF 2 and UF takes the ball and goes 72 yards and playing keep away for 8 minutes, kicks a field goal and goes up 20-0. On the pick Crompton threw into the end zone just before halftime, two Gator defenders chased him out of the pocket, forcing him to make a bad throw on the run. Once they went up 20-0, it was ball control time. In the second half, the Vols had 5 possessions Tennessee went 3 & out 3 times, 6 & out once and had one sustained drive for a TD. UF had 3 sustained drives of 5 minutes each while scoring 10 points.

Tebow threw a total of 15 passes the entire game because UF didn't need to to risk passing the ball with a big 20-0 halftime lead and a UT goose egg on the scoreboard. They went into to ball control mode and let their D put a stranglehold on UT the rest of the game. Oh, and turnovers count in football. Some are forced, others are gifts, but it is what you do with them that counts. Case in point- Tennessee cashed in on a UCLA fumble at their own 11 yard line to score their only TD of the game. That counted- right?

Did you guys read the comments where the rumor is that everytime Florida scores they are gonna sing Rocky Top..Pretty classless if you ask me. I hope you guys take em down.. Hopefully Bama and UT can play twice this year..Good luck and everyone traveling down be safe..

We sing along with Rocky Top all the time, but we alter the lyrics at the end to say "2nd in the SEC".

Last year it was a compliment.

Yep, and we settled it on the field the following year.

I don't recall seeing any fights breaking out in the stands or outside the stadium over it. They were the better team in '07 and rubbed it in our faces. We payed them back.

Sounds like some of you guys are too fragile to deal with anyone making fun of your beloved Vols. Jesus, did you get picked on a lot as a child? Grow some sack and ingore that crap....if I had a dollar for every rival fan that mocked the Gator chomp I could retire tomorrow.

I actually like Tebow. Always have and always will. I just think that 95% of yall sleep with a picture of him under your pillow.. Its ok to think he is all that, but to worship him is a different story..

Only in the Gator ignorance world would you read what I said as a moral victory. Whether you admit it or not, UT's defense held them in check for the majority of the game. All this business about "ball control mode" and Tebow not passing is empty rhetoric. Turnovers and special teams play is why the score was the way it was. I'm not disputing that they matter, UF capitalized on them and good for them.

My whole point was people expecting Florida's explosive offense to put on a show, or for Florida to cover some ridiculous spread is in fact ridiculous.

Some of you Gator turds really are that dense.
