It doesn't matter who starts, we are going to get beat bad. One of two things will happen on offense:
1. We will run the ball 50+ times to keep the score down hopefully and limit Crompton throwing the ball...
2. Or will we let him throw some and after 3-4 more INT's he will be benched and Stephens will be the starter for the Ohio game.
I guess my point is that I just don't see the point in starting Crompton when we know with 100% certainty that he doesn't have a chance in hell of not sucking and destroying us. Just make the change and rally around Stephens.
I agree..we might as well let Stephens go ahead and take over now so he might be more prepared for our SEC games post Ohio... Who do you think will start next year, Bray or Stephens?
Does anybody have a link where stephens is jumping up and down against south carolina? Is this the same game were crompton comes in and fumbles his first play?
If Stephens is serviceable, I think I would let him start next year and let Bray get a year in the weight room and learn the system, so he could come in and be ready to run the entire offense.
If that is the case then start Stephens now for game exp. I know he is pretty bad in his own right but I think the team has a "oh no, now we are f****d!" mentality whenever Crompton walks into the huddle.
