for all you whining, mouthbreathing idiots that want to blame Kiffin:
1) Pete Carroll went 6-6 his first year at USC

2) Kiffin can't help that Crompton sucks and Stephens isn't any better

This team is physical. This team can play some hellacious defense. However, the O is what it is. Get over it.

You see what Clawson has done at BGSU.

I'm glad to log on and see some sensible pots in the wake of today's loss. Thank you.

The run blocking is definitely improved. I saw actual holes, but especially at the end UCLA had no reason to respect the pass and were able to shut down any run. I thought at times the pass blocking was okay, but it was horrible when they blitzed. Jac McClendon got schooled by Price.

I'm just worried that if Crompton is the best we got, will we win more than 4 games? He couldn't hit open guys, missed open guys, and at one point his confidence was so shot he was afraid to throw. He just looks like he doesn't have what it takes. Why he didn't at least try to throw downfield on at least a few one-on-one situations is disappointing.

Thank you justin...I've been hearing idiots tell me that Kiffin should be fired and it just makes me say wow.

#1 positive about tonight's game: Florida doesn't get to beat an undefeated Tennessee team.

The blocking was better, they knew we had to run and we still were able to get that close. I think you go with Stephens. Crompton is done, it is in his head. Good guy, but just can't get it done in the real games.

I won't go that far to say they have definitely improved. Maybe against inferior talent, but today was very inconsistent and the running lanes were minimal at best. The yards that backs picked up were without assistance from the OL, for the most part. We just do not have top talent in the trenches and it's showing. Thank you CPF (excellent recruiter?)

Agreed that JC's confidence is at a low point right now and if he starts the UF game, sorry to say, but it's going to finish off what little drive and determination he has left to play the game. There's only so much that one person can take.

So true. You can work with a player's technique, strength, footwork, etc. You can't get inside a player's head and make him shake off his mistakes and calm down. That's what Crompton's problem is, and unfortunately you can't do much about that.

I agree that the run blocking is better, the line just wore down from HAVING to run every down because of our lack of QB play. Unfortunately, 9 run defenders vs. 7 blockers plus a running back doesn't bode well for the offense. Passing game has to improve to spread the D out for the run game to get holes.

Crompton doesn't need a quarterback coach, he needs someone to help him deal with stage fright.

this team isn't bad...we just have to develop some form of passing game...i was impressed we ran for over 100yds today against a team that had 8 in the box most of the day..sometimes more

never have i wished a kid would hurry and graduate more that i do with crompton...sad but its true

+1 :good!:

Not surprising that a lot of the "fire kiffin" types on here tonight just signed up today. Some people are never going to except that Fulmer is gone and not coming back.

I don't see how anyone can say our QB coaching has been up to par at this point. Crompton hasn't improved at all.

We all saw what a difference a good QB coach could make in 05-06. I was expected some modest improvement at the QB position. This is disappointing so far.

The run blocking will improve once the starting center gets back. The passing game will improve when G Jones gets comfortable in the offense and on the same page as the QB. QB position is still a question mark too many incomplete passes. Defense played solid so did the Running backs with little help from the rest of the offense.

I thought there were better lanes tonight (vs last year) but the UCLA defense quickly realized they didn't have to respect our pass. The safeties 6 and 4 were in the hole A LOT before the RB even hit the hole there at the end.

You guys need to understand something, and you need to learn this now..........Kiffin is not Pete Carroll, he is not Saban, he is not any other Championship caliber coach you want to hold up as an example. And he will not become one. The sooner you get this through your thick skulls the less disappointed you will eventually be.

And you learned all of this after two games of his college coaching career?? Damn, you're good.

You can't make chicken salad out of chicken s***.

But Crompton, bad as he is, is the best we have this year.

The kiffin haters finally come out....... Bunch of cowards who only show their face when the opposition is at their weakest. They don't deserve the honor to say they're a tennessee fan. You can say fire kiffin three years from now with no improvement......
