Do you wish TN kept Tahj Boyd?

Boyd can't beat out a RS frosh QB at Clemson who completed 45% of his passes against MTSU.

My short answer to the OP's question is NO.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PEOPLE. STOP THIS CRAP. WE DID NOT GET HIM. CASE CLOSED. Crompton will perform this year and we will be fine next year after that we will have bray with a year under his belt and we will be great. stop this crap mikehamilton fan. You are just being obnoxious and its annoying. He did not fit our system and he never will. He is hurt. He would kill our system due to his running the ball. Why have yeague, Nuke, BB and Oku if your QB runs it half the time. If we started him against WKU I say we wouldnt have put up half the numbers we did due to his yern to run after 1 second of being in the pocket.

MODS KILL THIS THREAD

It's still speculation.

Not "calling you out" or anything but my point is that many things stated here as fact are actually opinion. Nothing wrong with that as long as it's appropriately labeled.

I have no inside sources way out here in Utah, so everything I say is opinion. My hunch is over 80% of things I have read on VN are opinion though.

True. USC sucked with Palmer and Leinert.

+1. You also have to consider since Boyd doesn't fit Kiffins offense, you would probably have a very talented player who wouldn't get as much playing time as he thinks he deserves. Those players are usually bad for team chemistry.

This would be even worse for a new set of coaches trying to get players to buy in to a new system.

Boyd was going to be a short term fix anyway, in my opinion. If Crompton can be serviceable this year and either Stephens or Bray can be decent next year, Boyd really wouldn't have much value.

an undersized, unproven passer with a bum wheel? Yeah, we missed out

If I remember correctly CLK said that he would not play QB but could come play another position. What position are you wishing he came here for?

I think CLK was assuming he would be able to recruit a 4 or 5 star QB in his first couple of recruiting classes. That hasn't happened unfortunately.

I hit NV shafts in my 3 wood and Hybrid. I love 'em.

Worst. Thread. Ever.

This thread is terrible on so many levels my brain would explode if I began to get into detail.

I just saw that. Not sure he can come in at start though, kind of skinny at 6'6 and 187lb. Let's hope :crossfingers:

I believe I read he's 200lb now which is the same size as Ainge when he got to UT. And I'm sure Manning wasn't much bigger when I saw him visit UT

He is coming early and knows that he has to bulk up:

Beyond getting a grasp of the Vols' system in spring practice, Tyler Bray also will have the chance to acclimate himself to the school academically and concentrate on weight training.

Any edge is preferred while competing in the mighty SEC, which has delivered the past three national champions in Florida (twice) and Louisiana State.

"I'll get to know the offense earlier and get bigger," Bray said. "I need to get to 225 [pounds]."
