This is definitely a favorable situation for Kaylene Smikle to earn 1st Team SEC and/or Player of the Year honors.
If Coach Caldwell can take a former player that averaged 2.9 ppg in the SEC and turn them into a 2-time 2nd Team All-SEC/All-Defensive Team player averaging 16 ppg at Tennessee, then imagine what she can do with a player that earned All-Big 10 honors while averaging 17.9 ppg twice in their college career.

I’m calling 12 or more wins in conference play, plus between 14-16 wins in non-conference play.
This is the best roster CKC has had at Tennessee.

I am a Lady Vol Fan! My problem with this team is,I don't have any idea if they will be any good! I have always had a problem with evaluation of incoming players and their abilities. This team has doubled down since the whole team is new!Some of you guys and gals who have a real grasp on the players and how we may stack up in the SEC,give your take on the talent we have and how they are coming together as a team!.

I think they are going to be far better offensively. My concern with the team is will they be able to defend well enough to win some of the tougher game. We could score 90 and still lose 100 to 90. Have no problems with the perimeter players think we are far better in those positions than last season. The inside game looks suspicious especially looks weak in being able to defend strong post players. Hope to be wrong about that, but we are rather small in there and don't have anyone on the roster that will play there that has ever been considered a strong defender.
It will certainly come down as to whether we can rebound first shot misses and not give the extra offensive rebound scores. This teams looks capable of winning the turnover battle against most opponents, but the rebounding is questionable.

Looks about right although both A&M and Oklahoma should be 50/50 games. We usually underachieve at A&M think we will be more talented good to be the first game instead of late December. I see that as an advantage. Oklahoma at home should really be a close battle. We can beat them at home. I don't see Vandy game as a win.

Have no idea how teams will play this year, but Ole Miss has two 6’5 players and one 6’4. They also have Cooper and Civil who might be playing with extra incentive. Not sure I would count that game as a win. 🤷‍♀️

That's true, definitely overlooked that

But those post players' stats look like garbage, so who knows.

Does being listed at 6’5 mean you can play? Lol it’s funny listening to stuff on the forum and then doing what competent observers do and go watch the actual basketball games. Lol. Tennessee will beat Ole Miss again in Knoxville under Coach Caldwell (2-1) in the last 3 matchups.

I see the “new persona” image has given way to the old Knox. It was always a matter of time, spots and cats and other such things being as they may.

If the Lady Vols win more than 8 games this year I will give up Beer. And I do like a cold beer or two. I'm drinking one right now as an after supper treat.

To easy get nine regular season games wins.
But 9-7 SEC regular season would be more impressive

9 In conference and 12 or so out of conference W's seems like a realistic goal with this roster/schedule and gets us in the tournament. Not sure that is good enough for the program but we are where we are.

No, 8 total wins... I have no confidence in this team of nobodies. Is there a single girl on it that could even play for LSU, Uconn, or SC, much less start?

Not verifiable….. why don’t you step up and offer one month self imposed ban on here for every win over say 10 to protect you from a lucky bounce or two. If you are going to play the “faith” card play it!

This is dumb and I must intervene. For every win over 10 @gule must use a DiJonai Carrington profile pic for a month. For every loss over 5 @GUNTERSVOL must use a DiJonai Carrington profile pic for a month. The board will vote on the picture but I think I've found the early leader.
