2024 team looked the same, on paper, as what we’ll have in 2027. In the conversation, has the potential, yes. Doesn’t guarantee we’re winning a natty by any means
Of course it doesn’t. Nothing guarantees that. I’m just saying that will be the expectation to be there in the conversation and there’s no reason we couldn’t be.

We will have 5 stars at every position group. Generational talents without the attitude or toxic family influence (seemingly so far). Pro style concepts. Best strength and conditioning coach in country. Year 2 and 3 of Knowles. Mostly done with probation. All of that will attract better transfers. We were already building towards that before Nico derailed us and banks turned out to be meh once the seniors were gone. It seems like we took 2 steps back the past couple years to take 5 steps forward. I wouldnt compare that to 2024 but that’s just my opinion.

I agree that we will hopefully have a stretch of the most talent we’ve had in a decade, but we don’t have a QB yet, we have a new DC, and we have to see how the pieces come together. Almost every transfer DB we have is on their final year of eligibility. What do we have behind them? D line needs to improve greatly. LB room has tons of talent but needs to play way better.

Again, saying it’s a failure to not be in the NC in 27 and 28 is dumb.
you don’t read too good do ya joe.

You’re talking about this years roster while I’m talking about 2 and 3 years out.

I’m not worried about qb. We shouldn’t be in any year. And Faizon is him, it’s just being kept secret as best they can.

Does gmac look as solid as any of those guys? Weight is not all created equal. All. Those guys looked like football players (except maybe Nico, but even he looked more substantial), gmac doesn't.

It's a moot point though, if he's better, play him, and if he's too skinny, he'll get injured quickly and the argument resolves itself. If he's not too skinny, he'll be fine. Unless they're worried he'll get paralyzed or killed (like I would), it doesn't matter if we decide if he's too skinny or not.
He doesnt look much different than a young Tyler Bray

Me, yesterday: [Didn’t remember Jadais Richard was on the team]

Me, now: “That is so Tennessee. Our season is already over.”
He was expected to have an impact, but not be a starter. Hearing our safety group is the best surprise to the staff so far has me feeling good, very safety dependent scheme.

Whichever came first between Arkansas and Miss st.
Miss St was awful. Syracuse showed weaknesses. UGA had so much going on it was glossed over, Miss St showed the defense was bad and there was no corrections for the breakdowns we saw in the Syracuse game because it was just who the team was.

So is it possible to go better than 8-4 with our roster (tier 2 of 4 in the SEC, no QB)?
We have our qb 🤫.

My biggest question for this team is twofold: will our defensive line be able to a) get pressure on the qb consistently and b) hold up against sec lines for 4 quarters for 12 games.

In miss st game we didn’t even try to defend the edge and the off-guard/tackle run. We’re giving up 10 yards a pop with no scheme change. Thats when I knew we didn’t have the ability to stop the run, which was when I knew our defense was ass.

Miss. State was given multiple short fields. Only threw for 175. Defense wasn’t great, but part of their scores were on turnovers.

Gibson going out wasnt why our defense defenses couldnt set the edge or tackle.
Hobbs being out and Moi getting hurt the first series had a big part. That banged up interior had a trickle down effect all season. We need guys like Hobbs Gilliam Campbell Robinson and Utley to have massive seasons, it all starts there

I got some vegetarian sushi today (I know it doesn’t make much sense when I’ve been cooking professionally for 30 years), I’m now rethinking my choice today. Crap, what’s after cutting out everything? Ensure?
I’ve cut out nothing. Didn’t get enough vegetables as it was. If I get a months worth of diarrhea from a bacterial outbreak, at least maybe I’ll lose some weight.

We made Fluff look like an all SEC RB and his next best SEC performance was 80 yards. Their inability to score TDs on a short field is why they were 1-7 in the SEC.
