Who was it, UT player, who got “thick girled”? I can remember the posts and pics but drawing a blank on name...
Da'Rick Rogers?

Nah, Ohio State would have gotten in ahead of Tennessee.
No one else was undefeated. KState lost and UCLA lost at the end of the season. Tennessee likely would have gotten a rematch with an undefeated Arkansas team (they wouldn't have lost to Miss State the following week...which they lost on a last-minute FG... without the hangover from the devastating loss to UT). So Tennessee is playing Arkansas in Atlanta. Arkansas is undefeated and ranked in the top 5. Maybe #1. Beating that team puts Tennessee ahead of the other 1-loss teams. UCLA and KState lost during championship game week. They're out. FSU lost to an average NC State team and Weinke was injured, so that would have been considered and held against them by voters. Ohio State lost to a .500 Michigan State team. I could maybe see Ohio State being #1, but Tennessee would be no lower than #2 in those circumstances, so we're still playing for the NC.

Don

Dont forget about the very first game at the carrier dome Syracuse … sometimes
You got have things line up and go your way
To win it all
Don't forget, Tennessee lost the best RB on the planet in week 4.

Don't forget, Tennessee doesn't need the Stoerner fumble if the refs hadn't screwed up the rules when Arkansas punter Chris Akin kicked the ball out of the end zone from the field of play. UT was supposed to get the ball on the 1 pursuant to the rules, not a safety (the SEC office admitted it the next day). A certain TD there negates the need for the fumble.

Those things were both terrible luck. Luck tends to even out. But great teams take advantage of good luck and overcome bad luck. That team did both.

Also, that was pass interference in the Carrier Dome. He arrived early.

Will our defense mimic our 2007 team with big defensive ends like Reynolds and Mitchell vs twitchy edge rushers?

I think so with blitzes from LB and Secondary feasting on obvious passing downs.

Did you go to Bristol? I'm certainly not the only one who didn't enjoy it. Beyond some cool patriotic photos prior to the game the entire experience was pretty crappy.
Did you go to Pruitts first game? Or vs Air Force in 06? Hard to consider the worst game you been to was a win with the largest attendance in any college game in history. I’m sure the view wasn’t awesome but what’d you expect

I don't know that we have eye popping sack stats this year, but i would lean toward us being much stingier especially against run with our LB's. I do think were we might shine is INT's and 3rd and longs.

Watching Bluechip Breakdown on YouTube

He just said he’s hearing Jadais Richard (transfer from Miami) may be out for the season. Has anyone else heard this? Anyone on TOS talked about it?

I typically take what he says with a grain of salt but just was interesting to hear him say it
