The problem is that college football doesn't actually act like a free market. It acts more like the cold war economics of an arms race where the economics of supply and demand are not the primary drivers of the market.

See….I think it does. There are only a few 5 star athletes and they are going to bring what the market is willing to pay (More $).

Translation. It would now benefit me more since I have enough top 100 players within a 50-mile radius of my campus to have this rule in play. It will be harder for me to win at a high level here and with the resources I have if I need to compete for top level high school recruits with schools that have more money.

I did all of that and do not look like the tan old lady from Something About Mary. My wife says he looks like a guy going through a midlife crisis.

I didn't really hate it but it's not Nolan's best work....it could have been, but it's not. To me, the modern spin on this classic tale was unnecessary. I've liked most of Christopher Nolan's movies but this one felt like Disney or Netflix had the final say on casting/editing. The modern dialogue and some of the actors selected were just weird and it hurt the flow of this epic tale. I would and probably will watch it again but it's not worthy of the hype it's receiving.

For comparison.....

I'd give The Dark Knight 10 /10 and The Odyssey is 7/10.

I've heard they butchered the story and took out key parts which drove the story and how Odyssey grows as a character to get home
