OKLAHOMA CITY – No. 8 [7] Tennessee begins its journey at the 2026 Women's College World Series as it takes on No. 2 overall seed Texas on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN at Devon Park.

The NCAA Tournament's No. 7 seed, the Lady Vols (47-10) made it to Oklahoma City after going 5-0 in the Knoxville Regional and Super Regional.

Last weekend at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium, Tennessee took down 10-seed Georgia in two games. The Lady Vols won Game 1 3-1, followed by a 2-1 Game 2 victory. Sophia Knight hit two home runs over the weekend, with a solo shot in the first contest and a two-run blast in the second.

WHEN OKLAHOMA CITY CALLS OUR NAME
Tennessee is back at the Women's College World Series for the 10th time in program history and for the third time in the past four seasons. UT previously reached the WCWS in: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2023, 2025 and 2026.

POSTSEASON SUCCESS
The Lady Vols own a 103-51 record all-time in the NCAA Tournament. At the WCWS, they are 19-18 entering the weekend. In the program's last trip to OKC, it went 2-2 with wins over Florida and UCLA. Its two defeats came against Oklahoma and Texas.

BROADCAST INFO
On call for Tennessee's WCWS opener will be Beth Mowins (PxP), Michele Smith (Analyst), Jessica Mendoza (Analyst) and Holly Rowe (Sideline). The game will be televised on ESPN.

Fans can also listen to the official Vol Network radio broadcast from the Voice of Tennessee Softball Brian Rice on Sports Radio WNML (AM 990) as well as UTSports.com and the UT Gameday app.

Great photo of our Lady Vols!

Love how the picture includes the fans there in the backgroun! I was able to attend a mid-week game back in March, and my daughter and I sat right up there behind home. Had a really good time! GBO!!!

Edit: Wish they had gotten those crazy guys who dress up and lead the cheering in the photo.

Far cry from the almost $900 each you were quoting. Seems like some one has yer number… 😉

Of course as the resellers realize there won’t be a huge contingent from Norman, even these prices will drop. I would hate to have paid $900 last week before the market changed…

I don’t think there is a clear favorite as far as eyes go. Alabama has been good but beatable. Texas Tech bought that team so they may be the favorites but been playing with fire. I have no idea lol

Check again. I don’t see anything in main stands for less than $700 today. Lower level is pushing $1500
