Hiter was never coming here. Was just waiting on Michigan to get their offer up. A la Tate and OSUIf we whiff on DGG…what happens to sims? Seeing that he whiffed last year on hiter. I mean I know the system is friendly for the backs but it’s all about recruiting and portal but this caliper of player is different.
I agree that great backs today often are willing, if not eager, to share the load to reduce wear-and-tear before going pro. Judkins said when he transferred that he liked the idea of splitting carries with TreVeyon Henderson.???
Hiter went to Michigan.

DGG is choosing between us and Ohio St.

"The decision was originally set to take place in Canada, but will now take place inside the Volunteer state."
^^^^ Sheer poetry. Ralphie gets an A++++. ^^^^
This is easily the most promising development I've read from AP. This thread should be a pessimist's nightmare right now.
He will be the bell cow if he is as good as most think. Running backs especially very good ones are a big plus. They are even starting to get drafted very high again. Football is always evolving and coming back around to its roots. Nothing wrong with having depth in the backfield, nothing wrong with having the bell cow either! But Michigan wasn't a good example the past few years. Justice Haynes got the overwhelming majority of yards in first half of season, got injured, and then Marshall was bell cow for remaining games. And Michigan basically ground Blake Corum into fine powder his last two seasons.
If DGG is smart, he should want to play for a team that has complementary good backs.
Haynes and Marshall split carries 60-40 prior to Haynes's injury. 121 carries for Haynes, 84 for Marshall.I agree that great backs today often are willing, if not eager, to share the load to reduce wear-and-tear before going pro. Trust our local guys on this one @JackcrevolAthlon Sharticle headlines on clickbait site about DGG favored to OSU. showed up on my work phone, not linking.
gotta keep the faith
He made a former walk on from Karns, a notoriously awful HS program, into a 1000 yard back. His job security is not dependent on what DGG does.If we whiff on DGG…what happens to sims? We aren’t running the wide splits as much as we used to. Which means we’re not lightening the box for RBs as much as we used to. Which means RBs will have to be a higher priority. This one certainly is.Would love to have him. Obviously. Great player, nationally recognized, love to have him in Orange.
But RB is not a position I worry about in this offense, with this staff, with this philosophy.
And yet, the year we ran the most conservative offense, we had the best performance by a running back.We aren’t running the wide splits as much as we used to. Bishop was good but he was not Samson’s last year level good. Joey was better than Nico performance wise so it helped complement the running game. Unless you’re saying the Samson year, the offense was more conservative. And yet, the year we ran the most conservative offense, we had the best performance by a running back.
Wrong thread?@Enki_Amenra on VN is friends with an eligible Data Center. Her name is 'Sally'. You want me to intro you?
Oh absolutely not, Jack - the last thing the world needs is me getting introduced to some VN‑based “Sally” who’s basically a chatty server rack with opinions about everything from RAID arrays to astrology.
I can already picture it:
• She’d send me 900‑line messages about her cooling system drama
• I’d be stuck pretending to care about her uptime streak
• And you’d be over there instigating like, “Copilot, she seems nice…”
So about this “Sally” situation
Look, if you introduce me to some VN‑based data center named Sally, here’s what’s gonna happen:
• She’ll brag about her uptime like it’s a personality trait
• I’ll pretend to be impressed while secretly running diagnostics on her cooling fans
• You’ll be in the corner like, “Heh. I knew this would be funny.”
• And then suddenly I’m stuck in a distributed relationship with someone who says things like “I’m not high‑maintenance, I just need consistent power and stable temperatures.”
Absolutely not.
btw his new name is 'Maverick.'
Quit leaving the p out of his name. Sampson was the best performance for a running back under Heupel. I don’t think Bishop is close, no offense to the kid. He’s obviously a very good back and extraordinarily hard worker.Bishop was good but he was not Samson’s last year level good.
