2026 Midterm Thread

I looked up his congressional record, what I found was 76 bills and amendments he introduced in his 14 years in office. I don't know what the average is but that seems really low for a person in office for over 2 decades.
That does seem relatively low. Imma look into what the average member does later

KY has early voting and absentee ballots plus pols are open 6am to 6pm on election day so there is no excuse for not casting a vote.
Like I said earlier, if they can’t do it on their phone they aren’t going to do it. That would require getting off one’s rear end.

Young voters:

"I don't know what happened as I normally win. I got a whole shelf of participation trophies to prove it."
lol this is such a tired take. I was born in 1983, played youth sports from ages 5-18, and the only people demanding participation trophies for us were our boomer parents.

And in in my TN county all schools close so you don't have to worry bout picking up the kids.

He set himself up as an obstruction without offering alternatives. Or if he was offering he really sucked at selling his ideas to the other house members on either side.
He has level 10 principles and level 3 charisma. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that he didn’t have any alternatives but he sure didn’t convey them.

I saw that and agree, it shows a serious character flaw.
If I were in his shoes I probably have to admit that the Tel Aviv crack would be the least of it. There’s an argument to be made that he lost his job by fighting the MIC and and standing up for sex trafficking victims. Thats not the entire story and I’m sure he’s no saint, but I’m sure the circumstances of this defeat are pretty galling.

My son-in-law deals with college students daily with his job. He says most college students these days don’t know how to get in out of the rain. Says they have to be shown even basic things. Older folks have said that forever about future generations but he says this generation is worse.
Maybe my college kid is the lone exception. He can cook. Bio chem major. Headed to San Diego to present his summer research again like he did in Orlando in the fall. Games. Hunts. Fishes. Cooks. Two sport athlete in HS. Deans list. Fast Track MS program. Decided one day he could handle changing the brakes on the Yukon, and did. But, he was threatened growing up that he could do anything he wanted after HS except become an embarassment to his parents.

Did he go to bragging camp too? 😘

Really never heard that. Is there proof that Kyle did that. This is a honest question

Yes, several first hand accounts are available.

Now, I'm not claiming that he shot innocent civilians to pad his numbers but he did have several extremely questionable kills.

If people use the "are you better off today than you were 2 years ago?" test.....repubs are about to get annihilated.

I'd like to hear the opinion of parents who have sent their kid to year round schooling.
We didn’t but imo they not only need a break but my boys all worked summers as soon as they were old enough. They may have even been 14 as the skate center hired kids.
A kid working and seeing that first paycheck is as important imo.
