My only major complaint is too much use of the shift when the staff's command is not good. You need a staff that can pitch to the analytics and a pitching coach that will call pitches that feed to the strengths of the pitchers to command the zone. Extremely inconsistent all season. That can be fine tuned in the offseason, it's fixable. Especially if they reload with better talent.

Promising start to the Elander era overall. Could have been much worse and even with the inconsistencies they are getting their shot at a natty!

Kinda hard for a pitching coach to learn his pitchers in what? 5 months?

I don't know man. we're generally seen as a likely at-large bid (around a #2 or #3 seed in most projections) I think if we beat Texas we host. That's just me and I could be wrong.

Agree somewhat, but he was on staff over Pitching Performance the previous season. He was the PC in training so to speak. So actually he's had a hand in scouting, analyzing and recruiting of the new guys this season beyond the couple that returned.
