• Coastal Carolina lost at ULL and have now lost 3 of 4. I don’t see them getting back into top 16. So I guess I will need to pay for a hotel for regional play instead of free condo.

• Alabama is playing themselves into a host spot. In no way do I see them as a top 16 team with their weaknesses

• Mississippi State continues to roll with a road win at aTM. They are a top 16 lock with an outside shot at national seed.

• Florida ain’t dead but LSU is. Florida still hoping to host

• USC and Oregon are basically playing a little tourney for a host spot.

• I don’t think Tennessee can get a host spot as they will need to leapfrog 20 quality teams in two games. A sweep may get them ranked but the polls and RPI will max them out at about 22-23 even with a sweep. A good week in Hoover would not change that at I would rather see the Vols rest starting pitchers than Terri to win a meaningless SEC tourney

Honestly I’m not all too impressed with the top teams this year. UCLA and Ga Tech are scary sure, and we had that UGA series. Idc what anyone says, idk how they keep getting away with it, but our ‘24 Vol team was probably one of the best ever and even the field they faced in Omaha was top-notch. These top teams this season can be had.

UCLA will have a gaudy win total and did well against SEC in Arlington but their schedule 9 of the last 10 weeks will not have them prepared for post season.

A lot of host teams will lose their regionals including 1 or 2 national seeds

I was unable to watch the game live, but after watching the replay, thanks again @VetVol, it sure seemed like OU players were constantly jawing at us tonight. Was that the actual case?
